I have been having lots of yellow discharge over the last two days. Still can't believe I'm only 5 weeks. Really hoping for some symptoms soon. I have really sore nipples, but I probably wouldn't notice as much if I wasn't breastfeeding.

I'm off to my first midwife appointment in 10 mins! Excited even though I know it's a pretty boring appointment.

I have my first midwife appointment tomorrow too, feeling sick permanently but not actually been sick yet, extremely bloated and tired, can't be bothered with anything kind of feeling recently. Hope it shifts soon.

Yeah I think so, he might send you to the desk at drs to make an app with the midwife when she is next at the surgery I think. X

Have others told their families?

I live in Hong Kong at the moment, but I return home to the UK at the end of next month for my sister's wedding! It leaves me in a tricky situation, as I don't want to tell until I'm around 12 weeks, which will be around the time of the wedding. Obviously I won't be drinking, and I don't want to steal my sister's thunder by announcing around the time of her special day.

We have both told our mums (as one is as midwife so didn't want her finding out somehow !) I need to tell my sister next week as I won't see her again until September!!! ☹️ But yea, trying to wait til 12 weeks really.... Going to a wedding at around 15/16 weeks where we will see a lot of good friends for the first time in a while so I'm stuck like you - don't want to steal the brides thunder but as I would t be drinking alcohol at the free bar it will be very obvious! Xxxxx

Our parents know as they knew we went out for treatment but they don't know there's two yet! We will tell our brothers and sisters next week as going on holiday together & they'll guess when I'm not drinking with them! But everyone else will know after our next scan

FBTTN8079 how wonderful to announce that your treatment has worked and there's TWO! I bet everyone will be overjoyed!

The wedding situations are difficult and I see how your not wanting to steal the brides thunder but I'm sure you could get hubby to swap your drinks if anyone gets you one (eg vodka lemonade or wine spritzer for plain lemonaid or lemonaid and lime). I have a friend who did that and no one noticed, if it's a free bar everyone will be drunk anyway! Lol! Xxxx

Problem is, it's my sister's wedding! I'm also a bridesmaid. So it's hard to hide too much! I guess I might hold an alcoholic drink and then every so often, disappear to the bathroom and pour it away haha. I'll have to get through the cocktail making hen do as well!

Oh It's difficult isn't it. I have a night out this Friday with a family member and close friends. I don't want to tell people just yet as it's really early days. We are having a meal so it's not as if I can just go and order a non alcoholic drink at the bar as the waiter will be taking orders. Plus I always drink wine so it's harder to disguise.

I also have a family holiday at the end of June, when I'll be about 11 weeks. so I won't have had my scan yet but I'm planning on having an early scan around 8 weeks, so I can feel more positive about telling my family before the holiday. What about telling work?

Last time, I told HR at around 7 weeks who arranmged for me to have appointment off work etc, but didn't tell my manager until I was around 16 weeks. WE no longer have HR in work so my manager is my HR. I may need to have time off work for apoointments with midwife etc but feel a bit silly telling work when I'm only 5 weeks.

Hi everyone. My estimated due date is 25th of January, but it's very tentative. I'm still in shock and can't believe it's real. I've been having cramps for a week and a half, and white discharge but no sign of actual period. Really sore boobs, but I often get that from pms. But still decided to get a test yesterday, as I'm late now (also not that unusual). I barely dipped it and the plus started to appear even before the test line. Had to put the test in the bathroom and go somewhere else for two minutes, then ask boyfriend to check, I couldn't believe it. It was our first try.

congrats Rhiandell. It's crazy isn't it. You do a test but it's still a huge shock when it comes back positive. I've been having cramps too and lots of discharge. you will be due around the same time as me. I did a text a week and a half ago so feels like I've known for ages!

I'm bridesmaid for my friend and I'll be 11 weeks on the hen do, if my 8/9 week scan goes ok I'll just tell the people on hen do then as it will be clear that I'm pregnant. It's fri-sun too so I don't feel I have much choice.
I'm telling my friend who I'm bridesmaid for in a few weeks when I see her as she will need to know really. I'll be 20ish weeks at the wedding.
