***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

Its January!! Where did the last 8 months go??

Hope all is well candy and TC. Are they recomending a CS if baby is transverse again, or just hold out a little longer for induction/natural labour? You must be fed up of being kept guessing!

I've finally got a little energy and BP is a little more stable. Had a big sort out yesterday in the house with my sister to help and my dad did some odd jobs for us so feeling a bit happier. I was feeling so unready because I've spent half the time on bed rest haven't been able to get anything done. I was getting a bit stressed about it because its suposed to be a home birth so didn't want house to be in too much of a state. Still loads I'd like to do but at least the basics are getting there. Just realised I haven't packed a hospital bag yet though!! And we still need to buy a mattress for the cot.

What a beautiful nursery!!!

We finally get the keys to our house next Friday (4 days before my due date) because this was the earliest the vendor was able to move out. Nothing like leaving things to the last minute, eh... So my wee one is just going to have to make do with his nursery as it is when we move in, for a while!

God sunflower I don't envy you. We moved when I was 31w and it was bloody hard going.

Gorgeous nursery taboo

What is everyone's babies heartbeats normally??
God my wee boy peaks at about 150 but normally remains around 138 anytime I've been hooked up to the monitors xxz

Mines been between 150 and 160 the whole time apart from one appointment when it was 145 x

My baby's baseline heartrate seems to be about 140 but while on the monitors it's peaked at about 203 which is fine and dropped to 70 (last week) which tends to cause concern. The trace indicates normal range between 110 and 170.

Latest update- scan showed baby head down (body at funny angle) so I have a pessary in and anticipating being here a couple of days before labour starts.

Nice nursery pics :-)

Love the nursery Taboo, it's lovely.

Eek for induction starting TS. Keep us posted hun :)

Sunflower, I don't envy you moving either...we moved when I was 33 weeks gone with my first pregnancy and it was tough going. I sometimes wonder if that was what contributed to DS arriving 3 weeks early, although my husband did most of the work.

Bunny, I have loads of cleaning to do still and a tiny bit more decluttering/organising. I want to do one more massive deep clean and then just do the small top up ones to keep on top of it as much as possible. Only problem is I have no energy, I'm uncomfy and I'm chasing around after an active 1 year old who is like a whirlwind!!!

Yellow, my baby's heartbeat seems to be around the 145-150 range usually :)

We're waiting for a new bed and bedding to be delivered for us next week and I am also waiting for the double pram to come which should also be next week. We've gone from a standard double bed to a super kingsize bed, so very much looking forward to getting it now as it's a very tight squeeze on the odd occasion DS gets in with me and hubby and I imagine it will happen a lot more when they both get a bit bigger and are unwell etc.

Think I finally have everything I need for this one to arrive now. Feels a relief to be ready other than keeping on top of the tidying/cleaning, but I'm bound to have forgotten something!

Happy New Year ladies and Congratulations Mrs W!

I like how if you miss a days posts on here now you end up missing exciting news!! I finally packed my bag this morning wahoo!!

Well done for getting bags packed today Katy, I only managed mine under time pressure to get to the hospital!

Sorry, just needed a quick moan to get something off my mind so I can try relaxing again! Managed to drop off reasonably quickly for once this evening, not long after some medical person woke me up to check my name, see if I was having contractions (obviously not) and then tell me to make sure I get plenty of sleep.

That was 3 hours ago and I am still awake (and fuming) - am really run down at the moment and I'm worried that another night's disrupted sleep is going to lead to a cold just as I go into labour and need to look after a newborn. Argh!

Wonder if this hormone they have stuck inside is making me unduly emotional? Am starting to get the period like pains again but wonder if that is just SPD plus uncomfy bed!

Sorry for moaning, hopefully I can chill out now that's off my chest!

Seems I spoke too soon, they have just parked a lady with an upset newborn baby next to me! (Thought they were supposed to go to the postnatal ward after?)

Please blame grumpiness on meds plus no sleep plus cramps! :-)

Oh TC that sounds crappy, I know the feeling of rage when you're worried about getting sleep and then get woken and can't get back off - hubby has been on the receiving end of a fair few rants for coming to bed too late because of this! Must be a million times worse when you're facing labour imminently though, I do hope hope you managed to get off yo sleep.

On the subject of sleep for the second night this week I have given up and relocated to to sofa. Not even sure what was keeping me awake as despite my back killing when I got into bed I was actually fairly pain free one I'd arranged myself on my pillow mountain! Now hoping crap TV will bore me to sleep, not worked as yet. At least I've nothing to do until MW appointment at 2pm, although promised hubby we could go to the cinema after and think I might struggle with it now!

Oh TC, that sounds really rubbish. Hope you managed to get some sleep in hun.

Well done on the bag Katy. It was one of those jobs I loved doing, but hated too, if that makes sense?!

Spallerina, I gave up sleeping with hubby about 3 weeks ago now as it's just too uncomfy and I toss and turn all night and he drives me insane with snoring. We do still go up to bed together to watch tv and chat, but when I want finally to go to sleep, I go into the spare bed in J's room. Bit odd as I prefer sharing a bed with hubby but I need all the sleep I can get at the mo.

I hate when they do t g at TC you'd just be in a nice sleep then they go poking st you xx hope you got some sleep and things go well today xx

Well done on bags Katy I had to have mine done early on as a precaution xx

Feeling crappy this morning I have had 16 hours of diarrhea and it's driving me insane I'm afraid to leave the house. Anyone ever have this or should I go to the doctors? xx

I wish we had a spare bed :-( with Freddie we still had a double bed in his room for ages that I slept in a lot at the end of my preg but this time we don't as we had to make room for the crib (they'll be sharing).

I'm feeling absolutely hideous- I literally can't believe I have such a bad cold in the weeks leading up to having a baby!!! Luckily hubby got up with Fredster at 6am and let me sleep until 9- im literally all phlegm and coughing!!! :-(

Hope you managed to get some sleep TC xxx

Too late TC now but I should have mentioned earplugs - anyone that goes in before actually being in labour should invest in some, that way if you end up in overnight with no bub at least you can block out any noise?

I actually had a decent nights sleep last night but that is the exception not the rule and it was because OH slept on couch!

I can't abide sharing a bed at the moment, feel bad but sleep is more important than my OH's feelings.

So I am at work - still - bet you ladies will be almost as glad as I am when I finish so I stop moaning about it!

X

You must be so ready to stop work now carnat!

TC- not being able to sleep must be so stressful. I find listening to something on my phone with earphones in helps me sleep though noise.

Ts, could the diarrhea be your clearout? I had a clearout the morning I went into labour, couple with losing tiny bits of plug.

Sorry you feel unwell Jolly and Ronnie. Pregnancy is crap enough at this stage without extra stuff being thrown in.

Hope work isn't too bad for you today Nat...not long until you finish now.

I've had a foot wedged into my rib for the last couple of hours and its starting to become unbearable now. I want to cry it's so uncomfortable and nothing I do can get her to shift it. Guess she's just stretched out as there's no room left in there, but I can't bear the thought of this for the next few weeks :/

Jolly & Ronnie - sounds jolly miserable these colds. Really hope they clear up for you soon

Thanks everyone for the dose of sympathy, I needed that :-) I reckon I got 3 hours of sleep last night. The newborn baby was pretty good and stopped crying after it got fed. I have to resist the urge to go around hugging/cooing over other people's babies tho!

I am apparently having 'little contractions' according to the midwife. Am torn between getting a nap and potentially slowing the process down.

Ronnie - am being induced as a scan for something different picked up a high pressure in the umbilical cord which the consultant seemed worried would reduce oxygen flow to baby - as I'm full term it was better out than in, I was told!

Ceecee - you have my sympathy, anything up against the ribs can be extremely painful! Hope baby decides to adjust her position.

Spallerina - glad you finally found a comfy way of sleeping, makes such a difference!

Good luck Tinsel.

I'm 40+7 today and have a sweep booked this afternoon. I'll just be excited to find out 'how ready' things are to have baby!

X

I was thinking that ceecee but with never experiencing it before I haven't a clue lol. I'm so ready to meet this little guy now xxx
