***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

Well done Bunny, my he is a biggun (I know you've been measuring quite big so it's not unexpected!!)

You did amazingly hun

X

Well I was expecting him to be big but I was thinking more like 10lbs, not almost 11lbs! I measured big last time too and she was 'only' 9lbs 5oz. He is so huge he looks more like he's 2 months old! Last time we hardly got any newborn clothes and everything was too big for her this time I made sure I had enough newborn stuff and he barely fits in it!

Last time she kept telling me to push harder which I found a bit annoying. We had the same MW this time which was nice as we knew eachother better and I think she trusted me to push well enough on my own. She let me start pushing when I wanted to also. She only gave directions when it came to holding off pushing. It was quite fustrating because once he was really coming I would have had him out in about 2 pushes but she kept telling me to stop and start and it felt like forever. Every time she told be to stop I could feel the strain like I was going to tear though so I think I probably would have without her telling me not to push. It is so hard not to push when you want to!!

I'm still in a slight state of shock to be honest. None of it feels real yet!

Wow ! So much to catch up on ! Congrats to all the ladies that have got their bundles now!

Bunny wowzers... 10lb !!! I thought Freddie was big at 8lb 10 lol !!

Freddie has a poorly eye at the moment it's gunky... Apparently it's normal as it can be a blocked duct ? (Sp?) I've got to take him to clinic tmrw anyway! Wow can't believe he is 12 days old already!!

Hope the ladies still waiting aren't left waiting too long.. Good luck xxx

Hi ladies!

Congratulations Bunny! What a big boy! Did you know he was going to be a 10lb-er? Well done! x

After a long induction and getting to 10cm I ended up having to have an emergency c section as baby wasn't moving down. Baby Heather was born at 14:20 weighing 7lb 8. She's absolutely beautiful and so calm! Throughout the waters being gone, the induction and c section she was chilled out (perhaps a bit to chilled!) and only cried at birth for afew minutes, although it was quite a scream! She was so alert and looking around straight after birth, she's now sleeping even although the baby next to us is crying so hard n loud, hope it continues lol! Am in awe at the moment 💜 x

Massive Congrats Janet. Enjoy the peace and try and get some kip while she's sleeping lol. I've had about 7 hours sleep since 4.30am on Monday morning and really starting to feel it now.

Lovely news Janet sweetie. Sorry about the section but it sounds like you did brilliantly.

Adore baby's name. And she is a good weight (same as James was). I'll add her details to first page. Hope you get some well deserved rest

X

Right so continue the 2 per day we need another baby today - any takers? Lol

X

Massive congrats bunny xx Well done you are a hero xx

Congrats Janet!! We were due the same day, now I'll definitely go over!!
I saw the midwife and she's offered a sweep a week on Friday, the day before my due date though she did say if she didn't see me sooner with baby!!

Sorry hun. I've changed it. Told you I couldn't keep up lol.

How are you pronouncing bubs name? I am so crap with pronunciation.

X

We don't get a sweep until 41w. Isn't it weird how it differs?

X

I didn't get one til I was overdue the last time too Nat. I don't know if it's because everything else is looking ok. We've had some pretty frank discussions about my previous births and she knows how I felt about being induced with Oirrinn. Or just because she's lovely and a family friend, I have no idea!

You are fine it's hard to keep up with the boom at the minute. It's pronounced osheen. Irish for Eugene xx

Just left hubby in bed asleep with the little lady while I come downstairs and do bottle and breakfast for my son. It's nice to have some proper one-to-one time with him again as it's the first time I have had any really since F was born on Monday. I have done a couple of bath and bedtimes, but we always had morning snuggles and play before breakfast and I still feel huge guilt that he's not the only one now, especially as he's still only 15 months old.

He's been so good with her though and acting like she's always been here.

Love the pronunciation of Oisin :)

Hello ladies,
I know I haven't been posting but I have been following the thread from afar. Congratulations to all of those who have had their babies. I am still waiting. 41+2 today and trying to avoid induction Monday. Fed up doesn't cover it!
