Tomorrow's a busy day, got baby massage at 10:15 till 12, then going to Birmingham children's hospital for a follow up scan on Jacobs heart and artery.

Well we got to Birmingham woth tome to spare after being stick on the motorway due to an accident, and went to heart outpatients. We were seen by the nurse who weighed Jacob (11lbs 10oz) and then we took him across the corridor for an ECG, he had all his wires attached and in typical Jacob style wiggled around and made his results resemble that of a 50yr old, lol... I offered him my thumb to suck and this chilled him out long enough to get his results. We then went back across the corridor to have Jacob's scan. The consultant did his scan, after te scan the consultant said there had been no real change in Jacob, his heart wall is still thickened and his artery still has a pinch in it, they have not diagnosed him with heart disease yet but are still suspicious, we have another follow up in 2-3 months.

Jacob's got his 16w jabs today, (even though he is 17w) as the clinic was shut last week, fingers crossed he's ok with them again bless him.

They are bloody amazing - he looks like he was so well behaved as well?

Good luck with the jabs, I am dreading having to go through them with James already!

Aww him yeah he was excellent for his photos, don't get conned into your free image with pixifotos I came out £185 worse off hehe. As for his jabs, there were 3 of them today and he was good as gold.

Over the last 3 days Jacob has seemed a bit off, he's been upset and just generally not himself, he's still sleeping through great, but I think it is either teeth or food related; either his teeth are moving in his gums and causing him toothache or he wants a bit more than just milk. He's now chewing at my finger if I offer it him lol bless him.

It could well be teething Sal? I always thought bub's were older when it all started but from asking people that have kids it all starts pretty much just as you get baby into a good routine

Do you have some teething rings and some soothing gel? You can see if that helps at all

Yeah Nat, got teething rings but they're too big for his little mouth lol, he seems happy enough chewing me at the moment bless him. At the moment he's dribbling and chewing his hand ... I heard prem babies teeth later, but like I said I'm not convinced, he definitely seems as if his gums are itchy only time will tell I suppose. X x

We're both doing well thanks. I'm back to thinking Jacob is just hungry, and that he might want more than just milk???? Was looking at 4+ month stuff today and I'm thinking of starting him on baby rice and baby pasta first rather than rusk as there is less sugar in it, although I could get no added sugar.... I am so unsure with the advice I've had....

• Jacob should start asking for food in the next 4-6 weeks if not, start weaning at 6 months
• Jacob needs 6 months of just milk in his bowels first
• Jacob should be weaned early as he was prem and he will not get enough iron from milk alone

I'm listening to Jacob though and I think he's ready! Might have to get some baby rice on my way home from the parish rooms tonight, got a meeting regarding his christening.

Well yesterday was the christening and we had a wonderful day, Jacob and his cousin were both really good - although Jacob got a little upset as he woke up during the service hungry. We had a fab day though, photos to follow.

Well for the last 2 days Jacob has pretty much perminently fed, i felt like he wasnt getting any awake time to play and enjoy himself, so we decided that we would try him on baby rice (we did 1tsp baby rice with 5tsp breast milk so it was very runny) he seemed to enjoy it, then had a bit of a top up off me, and he's so far had 2 1/2 hours play time not wanting a feed (woo hoo).

Well, Jacob rolled before christmas but tonight he did it consciously. Bless him. It's a big day for him today as tonight he'll be spending his 1st night in his own room (nervous mommy lol)

Well done Jacob!!! Such a clever boy! Amelie Dosent even think of rolling not she will ever be as she is refusing to stay on the floor lol...
Good luck with sleeping like a big boy in its own room.
Amelie slept in her own room since the beginning. It's harder on mummies rather than the babies.

Jacob doesn't like tummy time and now he has a way out of it lol, he loves playing on the floor with his gym and his activity centre luckily.

Other than a coding fit at 4am that kept him awake till 4:30 (he's got a cold) he's slept through such a good boy.
