I just looked up grockles, and it seems it's actually a word for tourists in Devon!

Seems like Blackpool nicked it - my mum used to run a B&B in Blackpool, and we always called them that (trust us not to come up with anything original :roll: :D)
 
aaah, thought they were some kind of teen tear away. Oooh that makes me a grockle when I go to Devon then :D
 
Yes it does ....... and I've just realised why my mum has always called them grockles ..... I was born in Devon :roll:
 
we don't have them in morecambe - don't have many tourists full stop these days :wink:
 
Bloody grockles causing all the traffic ;) And you have grockle shops you know. Those ones that sell all the rubbish tat for tourists ;)
