February 2021 mummies!

@LJD ignore your MIL and come chat it away with us in here. We are all equally excited as each other and are probably all looking at the same apps in amazement

For constipation you could try prune juice, it’s as good as anything, and natural!
I’m getting the twinge feelings too, so presuming it’s little one snuggling in  x

Oh wow, what a party pooper! Don't mind her. I just don't understand why some people wanna be like that. Of course we're excited and wanna know what's happening in there.

I still haven't told my mom. I don't know how to tell her cause I'm sure she will be super amazed and emotional. She's a worrier so in a way I'd like to keep this under my hat as long as possible so she wouldnt have to worry.
Why don’t you tell her after your 12 week scan? You could make a little announcement gift for her xx

I know, I’ve decided not to tell her anything now unless she asks. I wanted to tell my mum as we’re so close and she’s just had breast cancer surgery and lost her mum too so although early I thought it was some good news that she needed right now! But then because I was telling my mum thought best tell MIL too! Oh how wrong haha! Yeah I’ve felt the twinges loads! Sometimes a really sharp sudden pain, spike to the midwife about it and she said perfectly normal. The midwife rang me today actually and said that someone would be calling me to book an appointment for my bloods taking etc next week - arghhhhh! 6 weeks this week it does actually seem to be going quick quickly! Xx

Hi everyone, no symptoms here yet either, slight tummy ache this evening but that’s all I’ve had! Hope all is ok, but I didn’t have any symptoms in my last pregnancies either!
So odd how anyone could not be so excited about a growing little miracle!
also not told my mum yet, think I’m going to wait till 12 weeks (if poss) so she doesn’t have the worry to x

I know! How can you not be amazed by it?! Anyway, thanks girls I feel so much better for venting on here!! I would have waited to tell my mum but I just knew she needed the good news following the sad past couple of months! And it’s worked a treat... it was just what she needed! Xx

It was kind of the other way round with us, we wanted to tell my in-laws because they’ve always been supportive and we’re prepared to help us pay for ivf. My mum on the other hand has been obstructive of our whole relationship because my husband is 10 years younger than me (although we’ve been together 5 years and married for 2). So I wasn’t looking forward to telling her, but actually she seemed quite pleased and my dad seemed really happy too. Relationships are odd things aren’t they xx

Yeah I hope I can wait that long! I'm 6+5 now. I will see my parents probably 2 times before 12 weeks.

Hope they dont have foods and drinks that I cant have right now. I mean if they for example had cold smoked salmon and I wouldnt wanna eat it they might be offended lol

Well..... I always say, it’s your body so you will do what you want, but there’s advice that we give in-line with national guidance and that is to avoid liver or liver products like pate, make sure your meat is well cooked and avoid bloody steak etc, avoid mould-ripened cheeses, fish that contains high levels of mercury and raw (or undercooked) shellfish x

Oh you must join us, I understand your trepidation, but we will all be here wishing you on for your location scan. What date are you having it? xx

I don't seem to get email notifications for messages in threads I follow.. odd! I'm going to try and push for a 5 week one next week, even if they can just see a sac, I need some relief!! x

I want to write my own notes too so it's tidy!

Doctor doesn’t even want to see or talk to me this time, I just have to self refer myself on line

Meh.... unless you have a serious medical condition your only need to see your midwife, not a doctor :)

no I mean in both my last pregnancies, the doctor did all my referral information for me over to the midwives, I called up and just asked what I have to do this time and they gave me the referral web site! Was quite exciting doing it all myself this time

Ah ok :) at ours the doctors receptionists can manage most of my clinic slots, and the women just get booked in. Maybe Your midwifery teams don’t practice in doctors surgeries (which is nice) x

How is everyone feeling today? My nausea remains on and off in the day and still have fire boobs. Also sadly I’ve become sensitive to some of my essential oils, which has left me with a rash on my boob as I Always shove a cotton wool swab in my bra.
Feeling on and off bloated but that’s it.
Just realised EDD is round half term, would be great for my son to have a few days off when the baby comes  and no school runs for me  x

I'm super bloated and constipation is real. I wanna poop so bad. :help:

I went and bought some natural fibre that I can take so we'll see how that works. I hope I'll hit the poop jackpot tomorrow morning

I dont feel sexy at all and Im not into having sex really. I hope it changes if/when this constipation stops being so bad.

Tomorrow is my last day at work before 6 weeks holiday. Couldnt be more happy about! I think I'll be on my 14th week when I go back to work if all goes well.
