Don't think like that hun, try and be positive I know its hard. What cycle are you on?

I am testing, but not sure when af is due, had coil out 4th Nov, normally 27 day cycle but af not showed yet? Last time ttc when I had coil out my cycles varied from 27 -32 days and took a few months to settle, only remembered this when looking back at my diary. So will be 32nd day on sunday so if af don't show will test monday sorry such a long answer lol

someone should start a thread about cycle lengths and what cycle people are on, anyone? I would do it, but I'm not reliable enough lol x x

I'm on my 3rd cycle but this is the first one where we have been trying to conceive. The first two we were just NTNP as I came of the pill beginning August so was waiting for my cycles to settle down again. Not even sure if it has gone back to normal for this month, the first cycle was 34 days and the last one was 62 days! Started using OPKs and taking my temp this time though and it does look like I've ovulated, although a lot earlier than I thought I would be x

Hehe, long answer here as well. Nah, I'm not reliable either!! Hope you get some good news this month anyway xx

NTNP is not trying, not preventing. It appears that I ovulated last Sunday. Got + OPKs on Fri, Sat, Sun and then a - on Mon. Probs not the best person to explain how the whole temp thing works cos I'm not completely 100% sure myself! Before ovulation your temps are near enough constant then the day after ovulation you get what is called a 'thermal shift' in which your temp rises quite dramatically.

Oh right, course lol. Might give the temp thing a go then, so your temp rose at the time u had + opk's then? Chart looks good, so ur temp gradually come down again then? x x

Your temp rises the day after you have ovulated. Your temps don't tell you when you are about to ovulate (I believe) but just confirm that you have ovulated. So you should get this thermal shift the first day you get an neg OPK (I think lol). Your temp is meant to stay high afterwards (something to do with the progesterone levels??) and I read somewhere that if it stays high a certain day after ovulation then it's an indication that you could be pregnant.

Again, don't quote me on any of this. Like I said, I'm still trying to get my head round it all. Hopefully someone else on here can shed more light xx

Just been reading some more on it. Apparently your temp drops again around the time AF is due (if you're not pregnant that is) x
