December babies 2016 **last babies of the year**

Awwww tonks look at your baby bump bless yah. I've been to midwife today baby is measuring a week and half above what he should be. Had a lot of pain when walking back from my kids parents evening like above my pubic bone pelvic pain, felt r ally difficult to walk. Still feeling abit of pressure, baby is head down but not engaged yet. Never felt so uncomfortable with my other pregnancies. Xx

Amazing bump, Tonks! Love the belly button, too. Mine has yet to pop.

Has anyone has gestational diabetes worries? I had scan today at 26+5 and they are measuring 2.7 and 2.11 so they have referred me to be tested for GD. The heavier one is 96.4 percentile. Hopefully all ok and they're just chubsters.. xx

Oh and a 3D photo of twin 1 for attention. Gushing mummy (first time I've seen either of their faces in 3D) <3

Aww, its amazing to see the face(s) in 3d isn't it! Is that the 96.4% for twins or for all babies? I know twins tend to be small but they are not always. Had a scan a few weeks back and baby was in something like the 98% . Not all that surprising for us because big babies run in the family and our last two were big.

96.4% for if they were singles! So for twins it is very big. That said, my auntie had twins that weighed almost 8 pounds each. C-section is looking increasingly appealing

My baby is on 97th percentile but no one as followed up with growth scans etc due to fact am booked in for a section anyways, my lightest as been 8lb 2 and heaviest 9lb 5 so pretty big babies think this baby will be bigger tho than 9lb5 even at 8days early x

Laura my daughter weighed 2lbs 2 at 26 weeks! How are you coping! Lol
I'm pregnant with a single and I'm struggling haha

Baby is killing my ribs and back. And I can't get off the toilet .. constant pressure on my bladder.

Tonks you have a perfect baby bump. Il upload a picture later. My little girl is always sticking out one side making mine uneven haha

Anyone else starting raspberry leaf tea at 32 weeks?
I've been reading online and it says it's best to take at 32 weeks and up the cups/capsules.

Midwife tomorrow and growth scan on Tuesday :) xx

I usually get one day when I feel pretty great followed by three days of roughness! With you on the aches and pains, and I'm enjoying the latest round of morning sickness this week. Praying that isn't sticking around for long!

What's raspberry leaf tea meant to do? Sounds yummy xx

Hm maybe it's because they are twins and so they didn't expect them to be that big. I think it's the tummy on twin one that got them a bit concerned, because it's gone above the top percentile and with multiples, gestational diabetes is more likely to develop. It's funny because I'm part Chinese, and all the women in my family are pretty tiny but my babies appear to have massive heads and stomaches and diddier legs :)

My goodness, 9lb 5 - hero! xx

Is this your first pregnancy?
My first was great. This time it's a lot harder. I think it's because I've already got a 26lb little girl to carry around haha

Your doing well! I'd be dying if I was carrying that much baby around haha

I've threw up this trimester as much as I did in tri 1. Sickness is definitely back! Boo! Hoping it goes soon!

Raspberry leaf tea is meant to soften your cervix, so it makes the 2nd stage of labour easier. I had a section with my first and I'm trying to avoid it. So I'm doing anything I can to get my body ready.
Il let you know how it tastes on Saturday! Lol xx

Hey ladies. How do you what percentile you are, or how much the baby weighs? I haven't been told any of that! Xxx

Your midwife should be measuring your bunp at your appointments although some areas don't plot on graphs e.g. DOrset area don't but Somerset do and they take your height weight and how many weeks and plot you on a graph and see whether you are within normal rate or not. I am 31 weeks but midwife tape only measured my bump at 27.5 weeks where they say you should be the same as how many weeks you are. Because of that I have been referred and now I have to go for more scans so they can monitor the progression of the baby. They say it's 3 1/2 pounds at the moment!!!

DD was 9lbs 5oz and DS was 11lbs so I'm not expecting anything but a big baby this time, lol. I don't seem to have had GD so how DS got to be 11lbs is a bit of a mystery. Being on the 96th% with twins is surprising though! It is maybe just a really good sign that your body is coping well with growing twins though.

Baby frog as Mexico said you should be being measured.
I personally would request they do it. If I hadn't of had it done last pregnancy we wouldn't have noticed my daughter wasn't growing.
Obviously because of what happened last time I'm being closely monitored and being treated as a first pregnancy regarding extra appointments etc plus I'm having growth scans every month (so they estimate baby's weight).
Most people won't get growth scans unless there is a reason for it xx

I get the growth scans every fortnight because mine are sharing a placenta so they have to make sure it's functioning properly for them both. They give me a report each time with estimated weights and chart and percentile etc. It's really for the consultant rather than me, but it goes in my file so I take a peak.

Bunny those are some nice chubby babies you've had! Hopefully you are right, although I don't feel like I'm coping well haha. All I want to do is sleep and everything feels like such a chore! Babies certainly know how to take what they need and leave you feeling sapped, don't they?

Slb24, yes, it's my first pregnancy that's gotten past first trimester so it's all pretty new to me xx

I haven't a clue how big the baby is they only measure my bump and write down the cm measurement in my notes. I have no graph etc.
I was measuring 32 at 31 week appointment so I'm roughly a week ahead!
I am expecting a big baby as the babies tummy was very big at my 20week scan and I was referred for a GTT which was clear. My son was 8lb 7oz and my mum had big bubbas. Me and my twin were both over 7 and 1/2 lbs each!! my brother was over 10lb. My husband is 6ft 3 as well, there is no hope for me. I just hope the baby fits into the newborn sleep suits for at least a week!!

Laura I do feel for you hun my mum said she was screaming to be induced with me and my sister as we were so big she couldn't get out of bed towards the end LOL

My raspberry leaf tea capsules will arrive tomorrow. I drank the tea last time but I'm not sure if it was enough. It just takes like a herbal tea but nothing like raspberry. Apparently raspberry leaf is good post natal to for retracting back down.

I've just thought its not long until it's my consultation appointment to discuss my mode of delivery, I'm really tempted to just book the section and if I come before then great. I'm just so uncomfortable don't think I could bear going past my due date. I've got itchy piles, feel heavy, have constant BH, can't walk up stairs without feeling like I can't breath and today indegestion is def lurking in the background. I'd still love to give it a go naturally again for a second time though - what to do!!!!

xxx

Does it taste like the good kind of herbal tea, or the bad kind? I'm fed up of all the gross tasting supplements over pregnancy. Praying it's something tasty. I'm also going to get fenugreek stuff for after because apparently it helps with bf. No idea what that tastes like, but it doesn't sound very tasty somehow.

Oo with you on the Csection. I'm tempted, especially at the rate these two seem to be growing. No thanks to pushing out 2 x 9 pounders lol!!

It's not offensive but it's not like a fruity tea if you know what I mean it's def drinkable. I got it lose last time and I brought a tincture to strain it and it was faff which is why I prob didn't drink enough.

I will look into that fenugreek stuff too I need help with the bf I think.

With twins do they give you the option of section??

Xx

I think everyone is now entitled to a section if they really want one, even not on medical grounds.

Most of the consultants at the hospital support vaginal birth even with MCDA twins, but ultimately it's up to me unless babies decide to be breech in which case it's a definite section. I am leaning towards vaginal but i'm pretty much in the middle about it xx

I've had my bump measured (I'm three weeks ahead) there was no mention of weights or percentiles.

The midwife said not to worry, it didn't mean I would have a massive baby, but that's it! Xxx
