December babies 2016 **last babies of the year**

Ladies.., anyone else nesting?

I can't sit still!!
I'm in agony as well as I decided to move furniture around yesterday.. oops!
I literally can't stop though. I've brought babies crib downstairs, sorted out her bottles and prep machine, done our hospital bags, sorted my daughters wardrobes out, separated her toys out into piles and put away baby toys, done Xmas shopping, cleaned everywhere, got my Xmas decorations out (oops!.. they will be up by the end of the week, terrible I know). It feels kind of like an itch that I can't satisfy! Does that make sense? I just want everything ready! 31 days!! Xx

lol I'm all for the Christmas decorations coming out haha I have the urge to clean and get things in order but I'm so exhausted I just haven't the energy to physically do it

I haven't been excessively tidying or cleaning, but I have gone over board buying things. Nothing extravagant but I have about a months supply of nappies (all different brands to try) and LOADS of cotton wool, wipes, creams etc!

It's like I think the shops are suddenly going to close. I just feel better having the stuff in the house ha ha. Xxx

Mummy I was like that last week. Like I really wanted to get it done but just couldn't be bothered lol
This week the urge has kicked up a gear!

Well.. my decorations are out. I'm going to put the lights on the tree when my daughters in bed and then let her decorate it after her nap. I can re-arrange it then for the next month haha

Babyfrog.. I've been really lucky with nappies. The MIL has always bought them. I've bought about 2 packs since my daughter (now 2 and out of nappies) was born. She's doing the same for this baby.

The Baby's pram will be coming out again this week. I put it down. Can't wait to use it.. eek! Xx

That's a gorgeous pushchair! Mines in monochrome as we don't know what we are having. Can't wait to embrace the streets with it! Although I've still got mine in the box cause MIL thinks it's bad luck getting it out early and she's flapping haha! Need to open it though to get the car seat out!

My mum in law is so superstitious! She would go mad if she knew we had all the baby stuff in the house. 2ill send a wee pic of my pram in a bit love it

Aww that pram is so beautiful! We've gone for quite a practical 'all terrain' one so it's not as pretty. I'm happy with it though and I've never been a really girly girl so suits me fine :)

My MIL panicked when she knew we had the pram in the house too. It was fine to wait when we were little and you were in hospital a week, but you just wouldn't have time to sort it all now when you're usually out the next day! Xxx

Everything has to be pink or blue for me.. I'm terrible lol

I looked at that pram mummy.. it's lovely :)

I'm not superstitious really. I've got everything out and ready haha

Xx

I'm the same officially finished work Monday afternoon and I've been sorting rooms out 1 by 1. Slowly but I'm now sorting through 18months of working full time and just shoving things in cupboards.
I've done the babies clothes until 6months in the drawers and then all the other clothes till 18months bagged organised and in storage. Even sorted out my own bedding, extra duvets and covers etc! I just keep chucking stuff out if feels immense! I need to re paint one wall in the bedroom that had calpol squirted over it by my son and the dining room needs re touching up especially all the skirting boards. I know I'll be pissed if it isn't done by the time the baby gets here.
I feel bad cause I feel I should be spending these last weeks with my son but then I feel if indulge him in too much attention now he will notice a big difference once the baby arrives.

Husband can go and get the bouncer and the steriliser etc out the loft tonight as well as the suitcase as I need to pack my hospital bag.

Anyone have any nice pj top ideas I need another set for hospital. I like the jogger type bottoms not the traditional pj bottoms but I need some tops which I can bf so buttoned but not a shirt. Everything I see is bloody expensive! X

I bought my tops from primark. Long sleeved. Buttons down the middle, about 6 of them so they go quite low. They seem perfect for hospital. £4 each.
My daughters really clingy. Don't know how that's going to go when baby's here xx

Yeah I've also got mine from primark, a few nighties for after my section then some nice pj sets for the day I'm up and about. I'm finding my anxiety harder and harder as the days get closer to the section, can't help it tried to block it out and stuff but still is niggling at me :( never been so petrified in my life than I am now and it should be an exciting time. Feel quite guilty that I'm too worried to be excited atm. Keep thinking am gonna leave my boys behind ano it's the worse possible scenario and small risk of it happening but even that risk is alarming. X

Ok thanks ladies I'll have a look.

Awww Ikkle I'm sure everything will be fine. I know it's hard I'm even thinking about everything that could go wrong as well and I'm really trying to push it too the back of my mind but it's hard!!
Let's hope this is the easiest section you ever have, that would be a nice surprise for you wouldn't it!

Also I panic when I feel movements have slowed down but I've never had a pattern so I know I'm just letting my mind run wild sometimes.

I'm really trying to enjoy the last few days of pregnancy but it's hard! Xx

I found with PJs it was easier just to lift up the top rather than fiddle with buttons, and you actually end up with less skin exposed. Obviously with a nightie that doesnt work so well.

We are back home now and settling in very well..

Birth story and photo coming up...

Your decorations look lovely! I've recently moved and don't own a single decoration haha!! Really could do with going Christmas shopping and at least get a tree!

Might try primark for some nighties! That's the only thing I need for the hospital bag now, everything else is practically done!

Don't worry Ikkle! I think it's natural to think worse the closer you get to labour. I've been worrying and panicking as well. We're all here to support you though :)

Thank you ladies :)

Ikklemoi easy for me to say but try not to worry. If I go for a planned section I know I will be in bits too! So don't worry your not alone :)

Ladies.. have any of you had preeclampsia before?
Would I know if I had it?
Daft question I know lol

My fingers have gone sore and feel bruised when I'm
Bending them. I've noticed my hands are slightly swollen. As are my feet.
My BP has been the higher side of normal (slightly raised) on the last 2 visits to the midwife.
I checked today using my mums machine because of the swelling. And it was 134/107. I know the top one isn't that bad but was more concerned about the bottom.

Anyone had preeclampsia.. what was your blood pressure readings like?

It could just be normal swelling/high BP because of pregnancy so I feel daft ringing the midwife because I'm being seen on Tuesday anyway.
Do you think it can wait? Midwife clinic at my GP is tomorrow so I could pop in xx
