Saralouise, last time it started at the same time as you, 36 weeks. My this time I can't tell I'm my fingers are just fatter or swollen. I think for me they're fatter as I remember I was in so much pain with the swelling.
Hopefully it calms down for you chick.xxx

Had my 16 week midwife app this morning and got to hear babys heartbeat so amazing!!!

Thanks Nikb! Yes they also confirmed it was a little girl, she was playing with the cord, using it as a climbing device to climb up then kick me really hard! it was so cute to see, like a little kitten!

and Vixx I'm due 27th November, originally it was the 4th December but i was put forward and decided to stay with the December mummies, that's probably why it seems there is such a big gap!

Had my 16 week check up yesterday with midwife - all appears well. Heard baby's heartbeat. Decided not to have the down's test as it wouldn't change our mind about continuing with the pregnancy. Another month before we find out sex Decided not to spend £80 on scan and just wait.

Goat - my friend is at the Royal London. That is who I was thinking of transferring to as I'm at UCLH but it's a bit of a trek from mile end to warren street... Which hospital are you at? The fact that they didn't scan her has scared me though! They have a brand new maternity ward and midwife led unit I think though so that seems nice. The rooms look MASSIVE on the internet! UCLH is new too though so I'm just not sure...

Lilac I've only heard baby's heart beat through my doppler. I don't even get a 16 week check. We've decided to wait too and not pay for private scan. It seems a long wait but the weeks are going quickly x

I said to my midwife that some places don't listen to heartbeat at 16 weeks and she was shocked and said guidelines say its a nicety but she felt its really important and a lot of people wouldn't show up if they thought they weren't going to hear! I'm sorry you guys didn't get to hear!! Mine sounded like a galloping horse!!!!!

Sorry to hear some of you didn't get to hear HB at midwife app. I had my midwife at 14-15weeks & she listened. It's lovely to read when people have had scans on here & got to see baby again and know everything's ok. 3 weeks until my 20 week scan.

We're now off for a little family weekend away - me, bump, OH & our dog! I'll catch up with you ladies next week. Have great weekends xx

I'm not an outdoorsy person at all but would love to be going camping this weekend! Probably the first time I've ever ever wanted to do something like that.
