****December 2014 mums to be! Christmas babies!!*****

Drugs ha she started the pool running when I arrived It wasn't full enough for me to use so had no chance for drugs. This will be my third child both were born on g&a and I have to say its such an exhilarating experience being so much in control and the pain certainly helps with pushing. With my first push I felt lo come down then slip back up and I wasn't experiencing that twice he was out on second push. Lol

Oh and with my first I asked for more pain relief to be told no I was 10 cm it was too late

I'm jealous wifeywifey! I don't think I'll ever get to experience labour and so wish I could have an experience like yours!
Equally I'm so happy you have a supportive midwife who is positive about home birth!!

As for prams I live in London and find those travel systems the best! I did have to get a lightweight buggy for use on the tube but never regretted my Uppababy. Great for park walks, walks into town, I used to walk 6 miles to my mums house with baby sleeping soundly. I'd say not so good of you want to lug it in and out of the car so much as it's quite heavy. We did test out loads though and it was a tough decision so I sympathise though it was all very exciting!!

Hope you're all well! I'm starving and having steak tonight! Can't wait!xxx

Hi goat. Not sure if you said already but why not? Its a shame but we both get the same end result :) I was very lucky altho with my second coming so fast I had attachment issues (felt like he wasn't mine)

It's true we do get the same result and that's the main thing!! And sorry to hear you had attachment issues!

With my daughter I was completely low risk and aiming for a water birth but around 38 weeks I went in for reduced movement and ended up being born via c-section and severely anaemic. She had a blood transfusion and has been fine ever since. As I was never in labour it makes going into labour and having a successful vbac more difficult. As long as she's here safe and sound that's all that matters but there's always going to be that feeling of missing out on the labour experience.xxx

Which part of London are you in? I am in SW.
I had Bugaboo Cameleon with first but had to get double buggy. I miss my cam :(

Oh I loved the cameleon too!! I'm in north London, a bit far :(
Will your oldest still be in a buggy when no.3 comes along?x

I think me and OH are decided on the Bugaboo donkey. We don't intend to wait before trying for baby number 2 so think we might as well go the whole hog now and buy something that adapts for two. We both hate the prams were you 'stack' your children and want them side by side. We plan on having 4 so want something that's going to last and be suitable for two young ones so really the donkey is the only thing we really like. It was soooo easy to handle too. We are fortunate that we have a big pram centre nearby where they have almost every brand you can think of so it's easy to compare. Good to hear about people who have loved their bugaboos x

So work today was ok. I had to bring up the subject with my boss and didn't get a huge response but seemed happy with what I said. Only time will tell. She chops and changes her mind all of the time.

Will see what happens over the next few weeks.

Had to phone my midwife today as slapped cheek virus is going about the nursery. They just said they would check my bloods but not to worry as I'm probably immune due to my job any I'm past the 12 weeks. Just got to wait and see what they come back with.

Good luck on choosing your prams ladies. I'm glad that part is done

Can anybody recommend a pram/pushchair that is light weight and would gold up to fit a v small boot? I drive a citreon C1 lol also prefer the travel systems x

Maclarens fold up small, bugaboo bee will fold small, too. But you will have to try fit them in

Off topic sorry but had to share. Iv been decorating the boys bedroom which they will share when baby goes into own room. Moving early so we get use to it and they dont feel pushed out.

The first one is my inspiration. Im doing it on two walls with a name on each.

That looks really good. I wish we had a big enough room to do something like that but ours is too small so would look too much. X

Had my 16 week midwife appointment today - next one is at 22 weeks - nothing exciting to report, took some blood, did my blood pressure and talked me through a few things. So excited that it's only 2 more sleeps until I (if baby behaves) find out if I'm team pink it blue!

How is everyone - it's been very quiet here today! X

Rose im so jealous I can't wait to hopefully find out

I've got my 16 week appointment tomorrow even though I'm actually 17 weeks. Doesn't sound like its going to be too exciting! Do you know why they took more blood Rose? I thought my midwife said I wouldn't get any blood taken tomorrow but I might be wrong?

I didn't have any done baker. I did get to hear hb tho

My midwife has already said they don't listen for the heartbeat at this appointment in case they can't find it? Hope she changes her mind!

In my area they point blank refuse to listen at 16 weeks
