****December 2014 mums to be! Christmas babies!!*****

Congrats on team blue! How exciting. I'm 17 weeks tomorrow. I'm off for midwife appointment. I REALLY hope I will get to hear the heartbeat as I've been really worried as I feel like my bump has stopped growing and I still haven't felt baby move. :( fingers crossed baby is ok in there...

Yay for another team blue! Can't wait til Friday when I find out which team I'm on! X

Lilac im sure everything thing is fine. Its normal for us not to be growing so quich at the moment and remember baby is still tiny. Its normal not to feel kicks yet too not everyone feels them this early im sure you will soon. Try not to worry. X

Over the last 2 nights I've started to feel pops which I think are baby but I'm still not totally sure!

Thanks wifeywifey. I'm such a natural worrier. My DH keeps telling me it's all fine but it's hard to believe! Hopefully il get some reassurance from my midwife today!

I hope so. It can be worrying. Im 15 weeks now and stressing about it so much I concidered paying for a scan. Lol

I think these few weeks freak everyone out because you feel like there should be something you are feeling or experiencing that will make you feel like there is actually something going on in there. I'm sure everything will be fine when you see the midwife :)

My bump has decided to treat me to another round of vomiting in the shower this morning - I don't think it got the memo about calming this down once I was in the second trimester! X

Hi ladies!! Good luck today Lilac.

I have a teething daughter at home with me and she is beside herself. Thank god i have my mum here as Im meant to be working! All 4 incisors and two bottom molars are coming through at the same time, cue tantrums, fever, colds and general unhappiness all round. Poor mite. Back is killing me too!

Hope everyone else is having a better day than I am!xxx

Well my day sucks as work want to demote me and I'm exhausted from lack of sleep so I've done nothing but cry all morning. Just want to go home and scream feeling so annoyed and frustrated

oh nikb that truly sucks! Why do they want to do that? Are they even allowed?
Big hugs.xxx

Looks like we are qll having rough days. Hope your all feeling better soon.
I had an embarrassing day I dropped a full tin of bright blue emulsion on the floor in Wilkinson it went everywhere cue tears from me. The staff were fantastic and an old couple came to check I was ok. They were so sweet they even bought my lo a bag of sweets. Cue more tears from me lol.

I'm pretty sure they couldn't demote you when you are pregnant as you could claim that was why they were doing it and accuse them of sex discrimination x

Sorry your all having a tough time ladies! I've got a very miserable teething baba myself today, and he's just bumped his head really hard on the corner of the wall so hes even grumpier now! We are so busy this week getting ready for his party, can not believe he's going to be 1 on Saturday!

In other news I've just been invited for a job interview at the hospital, it's bank work so I can do a minimum of one 6 hour shift a month up to a maximum of two 12 hour shifts a week, it would help us out loads knowing we could get a bit of extra cash when we need it but I'm a bit nervous as to how they will react to me rocking up at 22 weeks preg (which I will be then)! I know legally they aren't allowed to discriminate but in reality who would hire me? So I dunno if I should go for it or not.

I applied for it even before I got pregnant so it's their own fault for taking so long to get back to me imo lol x

Oh dear... Today isn't going well for everyone by the sounds of it!

Nikb - that sounds aweful. Why do they want to do that? Timing for you could not be worse :( I hope you have some support from friends / family - I think I would be a mess!

Goat & wifey - sorry you are both having rough days too! Wifey that sounds like something I would do lol. Horrendous and embarrassing at the time but also quite amusin looking back!

Rose - I am a week ahead of you and this week I feel SO much better (bearing in mind this time last week I was still having occasional rounds of non stop vomiting). This last week has been fablre energy no sickness for 4 or 5 days!! I really really hope your pregnancy follows the same line as mine. 15-16 weeks of vomiting days on end has been draiming, emotional & hard work!! But from the day i turned 16weeks I just woke up feeling better and had a great weekend! And I jut have a feeling it's (finally!!) come to an end! FX for you hun!! Xx

Im 16 weeks today and am feeling EXHAUSTED all the time but cannot seem to get to sleep tried to nap this afternoon but no such luck! I have a stinking headache which I cant seem to shift and runny nose think I have yet another cold on the way!!! On a positive note im picking up our new car tonight :)

Rose - sorry you are still being sick. Fingers crossed that it eases up now!

Wifey - that sounds awful! Bet you could have died! At least they were understanding. You poor thing!

Goat and Sara - sounds like you have your hands full. I hope they start to feel betters on. It must be awful for little ones. :(

Nikb - like everyone had said, I'm pretty sure they can't do that. Sounds dodgy to me...

Midwife appointment was well and truly disappointing. All they did was take my blood pressure and test urine. Nothing else. I was gutted. They refused to listen to heartbeat which upset me but I was expecting them to say no. I just really hoped they would as I've been so anxious. She told me to chill out and everything was fine but all I could think was, how the hell do you know? I guess I have to wait for my next scan. I was so close to running to nearest private scan place but I managed to resist ;)

Well basically my boss is a bit crazy and I don't think she likes the fact I'm pregnant. It's inconvenient for the business (she actually told me that) and apparently she told another member of staff she pays me to look after the children not to have them. Well duh, it didn't exactly happen in my working hours lol.

Anyway, a month or so ago we had an inspection and due to staff illness etc I had been covering in a room. We didn't get the best of grades (pure exhaustion doesn't help when I've never had a full week off since I started there 3 years ago). So today out of the blue she says about me stepping down, she wants me to enjoy pregnancy and not have the stress of managing the service blah blah blah.

Now I was in shock and got upset so could hardly think. She wants to speak about it again tomorrow in the hope that I'm in agreement to it all and says that staff and parents would be told it's because I'm pregnant that I'm taking a step down and to make it sound like my decision.

I think you're right, I don't think she can actually do it. I'm going to stick to my guns and say no I don't want to and tell her how hard it is to get my work done when I'm stuck in a room covering staff etc etc.

I've had mixed emotions from upset, confusion and anger.

Will see what happens tomorrow but I really think she is chancing it.

But OH took me out for tea to cheer me up so just back and totally stuffed. It was a brilliant meal and somewhere we've never been before.

Wifeywifey I would have cried too if that happened to me. I remember when we were younger my dad knocked down a whole display of paint in the middle of a store after crashing into it with a trolley. And the door mat on the top of the stuff flew off and landed right in the middle of it all. Lol. It was so embarrassing but funny now.

Sara good luck with the job interview. Aaw I bet your wee one is going to be spoiled rotten for his birthday. How exciting!

Rose hope your sickness calmed down x

Goat I hope your daughter feels better soon too. X and that your back eases off x

LHop what car are you getting. I love getting a new car.

Lilac sorry the midwife was no use. You would think they would want to reassure you but I'm sure they're right and everything is fine x
