****December 2014 mums to be! Christmas babies!!*****

I'm breaking the run of rubbish ness by stating I feel ok! No sickness, appetite is back to normal, still a bit tired but I'm starting to feel weird sensations which I think might be little one moving! Very exciting! Plus people are starting to comment on my little bump, love it!

Hope everyone feels better soon! X

At 4.30 I thought I would just have a quick little nap and then woke up 3 hours later!

Nikb- this definitely sounds really dodgy. I think you should go into this meeting fully prepared. If you don't want to drop your workload then there is no way they can make you, also I don't know if you are aware of this but legally they are not allowed to not give you back the same job you had before you went on maternity leave. So if she tried to pull this after you came back from maternity leave she would be breaking the law. I would also make sure you keep a written record (date and full details) of any inappropriate comment made like the ones you mention, ask your colleagues if they would be willing to back you up that she had said these things. I would do some reading on the Internet about maternity employment law so you've got some ammunition for if she tries to blind you with fake information. She probably doesn't expect you to know what you're entitled to. Also if you went to a Citizens Advice Bureau they would be able to advise you - I'm pretty sure they'd not be impressed with how overworked you sound with little holiday time x

Thanks Rose I just read the same thing. She's just hoping I'll agree and not know anything but she forgets I used to deal with some parts of employment law in my last job.

Just chancing it I think. Will see what happens tomorrow.

Please dont let her bully you like that, give ACAS a call tomorrow morning, they will give you advice

Well will see what happens today. Just got to hope I don't start crying again lol.

Hope you all have a good day x

ACAS are good for advice - I've used these before.

Lilac - Have you thought about getting a doppler to use at home? £20 from Argos delivered. I've used mine a few times now and it's lovely to tune in and check all seems ok.

Well I went pram browsing at the weekend. It was exhausting and confusing but wasn't a wasted trip. We went to Mothercare World first, which has a good selection of the modern styles but the staff were not brilliant as seemed like Saturday girls, we then went to Toys R Us next door and they had some there too but nothing really I liked much. We then called into Mamas & Papas who were very helpful indeed but I can't say that I liked any of them that much, again looked flimsy. We also called by a local family run shop who were really good and I quite liked the Silver Cross. They look quite comfortable and more sturdy.

I'm liking these - http://www.silvercrossbaby.com/pram-systems/linear-freeway-2013/special-edition-country-club/

Whatever you get ladies, make sure you can manoevre the pram one handed, trust me on this one x

Its silvercross we got. I love it x

Oh dear... back to the drawing board I think as I'm liking the non rotating wheels for our country bumpy lanes....

Is it the 3D you have nikb?

Yes it is. Its lovely, sturdy and easy to manage. I like going to have a play about with it every now and then lol

I have seen ones with non rotating wheels and they looked very hard to wheel(although I am in London). And they are quite big. You would want a pram where you can lock the front wheels if you are in the country side

Yes large wheels for us too I think. It's very sad but I hardly ever go shopping so I don't think it being a bit bigger will be a problem for us.

Swaying back to thinking that this will be better for us as it will be pushed on bumpy / stoney lanes, sand, and grass / off-roading.

Went to see mw today got to hear baby hb which was great. She was great too and said she will support me in a home birth even if baby measures smaller than the chart says as long as no complications and nkt dangerously small which is great because if I have a 7lb baby they will try stop me.

I guess city prams are different. But one handed comment still stands! If i go to country side, i prefer to sling anyway

7 lb isnt small though? I dont think they listen at 16 weeks around here :( I will have to think about homebirth because my second labour was very fast so i might not have the choice. X

Thats what I said. My first was a perfectly healthy 6lb 7 but here they say thats small. Im having a home birth because with my second I was at hospital for 45 min. She checked me I was 5cm then 5 min later he was born so worried I wont make it amd rather be prepared at home (you can change your mind on the day but not if other way around) Also I had my othwr two in birth centres so the whole hospital ward experience sounds awful to me.

I had the same wifey, so shit scared.Sara, i had epidural with my first but only some g&a with second as there was no time. So be prepared ;)
