I've taken clomid CD 2-6 and been taking OPK since CD9 & still not getting a positive Opk.
I'm now on CD18 I've been having twinges in both sides but no definite +++
Has anyone on clomid 2-6 ovulated later than CD 18? & Is this a + I'm only using asda own brand Opk because it's an expensive hobby 😩

I'm on CD 18 today and still not getting positives on my Opk? Can I ovulate later on clomid and would you girls say this is still a negative? It's gotten a lot darker than CD9 On wards. I'm only using Asda ones because it's so expensive. I'm having twinges and aches in my left side and down my groin/thigh today also? Xx

Hi Chantelle.

I've done two rounds of clomid now (2-6 at 100) and I ovd on CD17 and CD18. I only tested positive for a couple of hours before I felt ov pains. Are you testing at different times of day? I could easily have missed my surge if I hadn't by chance tested at the right time. This round I only got a very nearly positive, I think I ovd but I'm not 100% sure.

How many rounds of clomid have you done? Have you had follicle tracking scans at all?

I'd go by your pains Chantelle. I got them when I ovulated on clomid before and I think it did delay it by a few days for me (but I do have short cycles). I don't know what's happening to me yet this cycle. Xx

Hi girls this is my first round of clomid. Feel abit neglected tbh my specialist has just said because I'm so young and I have pcos- very irregular periods all my blood work is fine he thinks I just need a boost to ovulate so I'm having induced periods and clomid. He's not scanned me or checking follicles or anything I got sent away with 3 months worth of clomid and told if I get a positive pg test to call him and get booked in for early scan. As it happens my next appointment is in 6 weeks I'm on cd 19 today I don't know what length my cycles are because I'm all over the place. But I'm hoping I would only have done 2 rounds by my appointment...
Yesterday evening I got a slightly darker line I'm like a woman possessed now... Would Yous say this is darker than my first pic I posted...
Today it seems fainter the line :/ also got cystitis for the night so I don't know if it's a slight uti or ovulation...

That's crap Chantellle. I didn't think anywhere in UK would give people clomid with no monitoring. One of the main reasons for being monitored is to check you aren't hyper stimulated for example. Those OPK's aren't positive at all yet. The test line needs to be as dark or darker than the control. I would get ones like that at any point in cycle. Have you used them before?

Another reason to be monitored is to check your dose is enough. My consultant starts people off on 100mg and I conceived on 150.

My second clomid cycle was a fail.

I'm spotting now and as I have light Af I'm assuming this is it. If I count this as CD1 then I will have had a 31 day cycle on clomid cycle one then a 32 day on clomid cycle 2.

Roll on cycle 3.

How is everyone else getting on?

I am new to this forum and would really like some advice. I am on my first round of clomid, 50mg, taken cd5-9. I am currently on cd15 and have no O signs at all. Note even one. I also did not have any side effects from the clomid. And a bit about my past AF cycles before clomid: very infrequent. I have pcos and AF came about two to four times a year. I took provera to induce AF and that worked just fine, but I have not detected any signs of clomid working. I know some people O much later than cd15, but I am worried b/c i have zero signs of anything coming on. how early prior to Oing did you have symptoms? did you all O on 50mg or did you need 100mg? also, i am seeing an obgyn and receiving no u/s monitoring. do you all recommend seeing an RE instead?

Hi and welcome ebeth.

I've done two rounds of clomid so far, I ovd on CD17 the first and CD18 the second. I had zero signs of ov until I got the actual ov pains. I'm on 100mg and was monitored for the first cycle and as it worked I'm now unmonitored for subsequent cycles.

The only clomid side effects I've had are being slightly warm overnight on the days I took it.

you mentioned that you had zero signs of ov until you got the ov pains. but, how soon did they happen before you got a positive opk? was it same day or the day before or a couple of days?

so you started you first cycle with 100mg?

im cd15 and no pains, no symptoms. i'm hoping i still have a shot this round! it takes so long just to get to the poas opk testing phase.

Hello and welcome. As you are taking your clomid on days 5-9 you are likely to ovulate a bit later. I did days 2-6 and ovulated around day 15.

I was started on 100mg. I ovulated on that dose and had good progesterone levels, but my consultant aims for two eggs being produced to increase chances. (It was only one on 100mg from my monitoring scan). I was then upped to 150mg and conceived on 2nd month at that dose, so 4th month overall. I had my 12 week scan yesterday and so far so good.

Yes I started on 100, my consultant said 50 wouldn't do anything for me so try 100. I only got one egg on 100 and he wanted 1-2 but for now we are sticking at 100.

congrats on the good news about the scan! that's wonderful news! i wish i was on 100 mg too. i guess if i don't ovd this month my obgyn will move me up. if i do ovd on 50, i might ask to be moved up to 100 anyway. moving your dose from 100 to 150 seemed to work. and i want it to work for me too! i am not being monitored this round. so i will ask for that next round and if she cannot do that, then i'll move to see an RE/FS.

snowbee: thanks for the info. i have been looking for symptoms and might have found some today. not sure though b/c i have really been trying to find them. but i did notice cm today (small amount, very small). but i haven't had any until today and its cd16. so perhaps i'll still have a chance to ovd. i really want to be monitored. i just want to know if i even have an egg!

i just tested again and got a positive opk. smiley face
i tested early this morning and it was negative. but i had a small amount of cm and i felt a fullness in my ovaries and decided to test again and it was positive.

very excited. i will BD tonight, but should DH and I BD tomorrow morning or night, does it matter?

in your experience when you get a positive opk does it mean ovd comes the very next day?

Usually ladies ov 12-48 hours after getting a positive opk. As I'm difficult I usually ov much sooner, usually 2-6 hours after getting a positive so you could be oving at any time soon. I think if you BD today and tomorrow at whatever time suits you then you should be covered. Good luck!
