When I got given mine, the doctor said its the oldest medication they use and is before IVF. Maybe they've given it to you to see if it can just bump up ovulation a little. Fx!

Hi Lady E,

Both my successful pregnancies are clomid ones and I also already ovulate.

Since my 1st baby in 2010 and after my septum removal I've had 2 early miscarriages/probable ectopic whilst not taking clomid, believe it helps my egg maturity or improves my progesterone levels.

That's why I'm TTC with it now.

I'm going to try something crazy too as I want to improve my chances further.

I'm going to inseminate right into my cervix with fresh semen from hubby just to get it closer! I'm using a medicine syringe. (If you want to try this please be warned it's dangerous to put unwashed (a medical process done at a clinic) sperm directly into your uterus.

I'll keep you all posted on my cycle too.

I'm Cd 10 today and have had Ewcm so I'm expecting ov soon I think!

Hi lady e,

I've been told my bloods were ok so I assume I ovulate but the way I understand it, clomid can give you a boost.

How is everyone getting on? I'm taking my first dose today. Has anyone had any side effects so far?

Hi ABC, I'm on my 7th cycle of clomid. My side effects have been being hot at random points up to ovulation and I have been moody before ov too (more so than normal!).

Maybe baby good luck with ov! Ewcm is a great sign

I'm 10dpo and my breasts are on fire! My nipples have been sore since 1dpo and now my whole breast is hard and sore. I'm hoping this is a good sign as the first time i got a bfp my breasts were agony! I'm debating testing tomorrow, although I know I should hold off longer. I've not been able to do my temp for the last two days as I forgot to take my thermometer with me but will do it tomorrow and see what is going on.

Good signs Snowbee!

I think clomid does increase your progesterone as when I took it is didn't get any pre-menstrual spotting but I had had it previous months. It also lengthened my cycle if I remember correctly. Overall, it did good things, just didn't get me pregnant...

Hi ABC237. I finished my clomid last week. No side effects, maybe slightly hotter than usual. Positive opk test this morning. Had sex every other day since Friday. So fingers crossed again this month!
Snowbee that sounds really positive, Good Luck, Keep us posted on any other symptoms.
Maybe baby thank you for your reply, hearing that somebody got pregnant when already ovulating on clomid gives me a real boost. xx

I think so but I think theres also other symptoms too? Other than bloating & a tiny bit of cramping on my right side and lack of appetite I think I'm pretty much the same as before lol

Don't be silly! I have no idea either! I used to spend ages on the net looking at things but it drives you mad! The issue is everything is different for everyone so no one ever flipping knows whats going on!

Yeah, I don't think I know my body at all lol Although, I have identified that when I think I had a Chemical, I had absolutely no spotting at all that month.

Even though I know that I look for no spotting, when I do get spotting I immediately think Implantation. Even though I KNOW it's really unlikely to happen lol

Yes, I sometimes get spotting and think the same.

How many days of clomid are you on today and how often will you BD? I'm thinking every other day. I've always tried not to be too regimented but I want to make the most of this chance!
