I also managed to spend £25 in Card Factory??

I got everyone's Crimbo cards, money wallets for all the kids, most of my Birthday cards for the next year plus 20 balloons for James' Birthday and some Crimbo bows and wrapping paper

xxxxxx

My Primark shopping trip was shite too, managed to get finn some socks!!!! Got two bigger boys jumpers but ended up going to next and getting Finn the father christmas jumper plus a beautiful red one. Got home and ordered christmas pj's from next and snow suits for both my boys, got them the same at DS1's request!!

I know my LO isn't due til april, but am so excited already for Christmas next year! Just thought, having seen the comments about the Christmas Eve box tradition - which we're going to do as well - I'd also add another thing we've decided on. Each year we're going to buy our children a new Christmas decoration each, which they'll be responsible for hanging on the tree. We'll probably involve them in choosing them. Then on their 21st birthday they'll be presented with their box of 21 Christmas decorations each with its own memory. Its something we already do for us, and we've given up on having one of those designer looking coordinating trees, but it's a Christmas tree full of memories! Have fun planning your Christmases, I'll be looking out for a similar thread this time next year! Xx

I love the Christmas decoration idea!! Will definitely be pinching that one! :D x

I already kind of do the Christmas tree decoration thing.

Every year I buy a new decoration and I also buy one for my Mum's tree and my sisters tree.

Last year someone bought us a "babies First Christmas" all the way from Macy's NY. That was lovely.

This year the tree is going on our table but we'll have to go fake

oh my goodness how did I forget my decoration tradition? Every year I take my boys to a ceramic cafe and they decorate a bauble they are fantastic and I love taking them to do them.x

I had a very successful shopping trip this morning! I now have all my Christmas cards - boxes and personal ones, all my Christmas wrapping paper and lots of bows, ribbons and tags.

Need to keep an eye out for somewhere doing a good deal on selection boxes. I need 8 but I don't really fancy paying a £5 for each one...especially when they normally only contain 5 choc bars...not good value IMO!

I really do miss Woolworths at Christmas time - I used to be able to get so much stuff under one roof :) xxx

Morrisons are doing 2 tins of celebrations etc for £8? Not the same as selection boxes I know but you get wayy more and may be cheaper too :)

I think Im gonna get LM tbis fisher price kitchen thing thats in the Asda toy sale atm. Its only £15 so a bargain and its not that big either. Which is going to be impprtant as we live with my dad so not got loads of room lol. Xx

All my Christmas shopping is now complete! Now to kick my feet up and reeeelax ... Cue baby cry!

Awh I wouldn't like to have mine complete so early. I do get bits & pieces before, but I love going Christmas shopping when all the decorations are up & the Christmas music is playing, makes me feel all Christmassy x

In theory I like that but in practice I find I overspend and get stressed. My budget was super tight this year and I started early and got lots of good deals online.
Plus being relatively religious we've got a fair few traditions in December so I wanted to get all shopping out of the way so we could focus on them, a few are: under 2s nativity (so frickin cute), festival of saint lucy, carol concerts, church hall Christmas fair and our hamper packaging for the homeless etc etc. Then we've got all the cooking traditions - all the women in the family get together one day and make ravioli, Christmas cake and Italian version of mince pies.

I literally cannot wait!

I've got most of my baby's presents just need to do her pjs and Christmas Day and Boxing Day outfits. Then gotta get presents for the rest of the family, although I know what I'm getting. Still gotta do all cards and food though.

Oh and my mum is picking up a load of first Christmas things for her from Bloomingdales when she goes to New York next month. I love their stuff and couldn't wait to get some for my baby and now here she is!

I love being sorted early so that I can enjoy the Christmas feeling/atmosphere without worrying about what I'm going to get for who & how much it's going to cost & how long I have to stand in poxy store queues! :)

Today, I shall be wrapping some Christmas presents! I am nowhere near finished present shopping, but I should be finished early November hopefully.

I am also making some mincemeat to mature in jars ready to make home made mince pies in December. But there is a twist to them...they are made the traditional way, with real beef mince ;-) xx

Now that is organised Chezza

I have got as far as wrapping James' birthday pressies.

How exciting!!! Noone does Christmassy things better than the Americans!!! I love it there at Christmas.

I do this too! I do all my actual shopping online and then have a leisurely mooch around the shops without any pressure. It's the best kind of Christmas shopping :)

I'm doing most of mine online this year.

I HATE busy shops. Plus, itll be busy enough never mind me trudging a buggy about with us.

I cant wait to take Jackson to see the Christmas lights go on at George Square!

This thread is stressing me out  Normally by now I'd be so organised, but we're STILL living with my parents, so I can't really get organised as I can't get to any of the stuff I've already got... although it is all out of storage and in our house now.

I got all my Christmas cards in the sales after last Christmas, so I know I'm sorted there.

I've got a list of people to get presents for, but there's never any time to go shopping because we're sorting out the house, and I can't remember what I've already got because it's packed.

I have ordered a tshirt for A from next with rudolph on it, which is now ready to collect, so he can wear it for all of November and December!

OH still hasn't told his parents that we won't be going to their house on Christmas day... not entirely sure how that's going to go down - possibly world war three, but I'm putting my feelings first for once and I'm going to put my foot down if he wavers :shakehead:

But nevermind, I am still incredibly excited about it all
