Just went to town & had to come straight back again. It seems I can't walk any distance now without being in horrible pain! It almost feels like a belt tightening all the way round my bump, including my back, along with very painful cramps. I came straight home & put my feet up!

AHHHH tomorrow is the 1st August! OUR TURN!!!!!!

hope your all having nice relaxing week ends! so far i've had an emotional out burst yesterday (due to a baby black bird, fell out its nest not sure if mother has gone back to it, as we put it back in!) and have had a good bounce on my ball today and am going out for coffe(decafe not the same) with a friend in a hour or so, so a nice bit of walking too! then have to look after OH when he gets home from work, as he's been coming down with something, hope it goes before little man decided so arrive! hope your all well x

Well ive had a burst of energy, have washed all the floors and hovered, removed all OH football trophies (around 50+) and polished them all, washed up, done 3 loads of washing and dried them, we also decorated the living room fri/sat so spent today putting everything back in its place, compleatly emptied the shoe cuboard and got rid of all the shoes we dont want! think 'NESTING' springs to mind! normally i cant be arsed to do anything! i suppose i should thank my heartburn today (weird i know) but i was planning a lovely long lay in today, but woke up at 9 with horrendous heartburn that would not shift, so if i had stayed in bed, none of this would of got done!

Just to clarify, my back is in pieces , but worth it as i feel better knowing ive shifted a few unwanted jobs out the way xx

August tomorrow - how crazy is that?!

Got MW for 38w appt in the morning - so desperate to know if LO is engaged at all, if not then lord knows why I have some much pressure & pain down there!
Have been on my ball for an hour or so this arvo, more so for comfort as most sitting/lying positions make me restless after a while. Have also been taking my RLT capsules, am on 3 a day plus one cup of tea - hoping it helps with the labour as am getting a bit scared I won't cope with the pain!

Eeee - which of us August mummy's will go first? X

I've got to wait till friday for my 38wk appointment! I'll be nearly 39wks lol.. O well means I'll have less to wait till my next appointment! I don't think charlie will engage till labour, just have a feeling! But like you jen, If he isn't then I'll be surprised due to the pains and pressure! Xx

well back from my coffee, met OH from work so he could carry the food home! and got home to find that after all night of OH worrying about the baby black bird the mother is back on the nest the chick is no more than 3 days old, has no feathers and eyes were still closed! so happy she went back to it! and got those achy bum cheek feeling i was getting with the shooting in foof pains so hoping he's moved down a bit more!

ITS AUGUST!!!!! Woohoo!!!!!

38 weeks Today 2 weeks/14 days left...I wonder when things will start kicking off? At least I will be a august mummy now!
I'm quite excited today in case you hadn't noticed lol

Who will be our 1st august mummy to go in august?

Serious backache again today and bump aches got woke up with a strong period type pain!, but that's prob my fault with the work I did yesterday! How's everyone else feeling? ** OUR BABIES WILL BE BORN SOON!!!!** EEEEK!!!!!

Hiya kelly i can't believe it's actually august! I'm feel exhausted, I'm a constant braxton hicks nearly hah. I've been waking in the night too with period type pains, totally disturbing my sleep can't even get comfy with body pillow anymore coz bump is too big. I feel like I'm going to go soon but not had any spotting or that, it's just a gut feeling with the pains and how my bump has dropped, but I could still go overdue ofcourse!

How are you hun? It's so nerve racking being this close eh! And exciting aswell, I just can't believe it's almost time! I still remember being 12 weeks and thinking 'jeez I've got aaaaages!' and now I'm thinking 'where has the time gone?!' xxx

hello August!

just checked the list and Hannahsbaby was first but her waters broke ages ago so she should have her baby by now! then its Pinkhank due tomorrow . . . then me! so it could really be anyone to go first!

Jen - i'm hoping your little one is engaged!

AH, sleeping is becoming even worse, hips get really achy and painfull which wakes me up! and to make it even better OH has a cold and has been tossing and turning all night!

i'm due the 16th, only 2 weeks away!
lots of BH last night, i couldn't sleep from 12am until 5am I was so uncomfortable, but couldn't discern a pattern, my belly just felt really hard for 5 hours, and LO was churning around and shifting position lots. I had to get up 5 times for wees and did 3 number twos as well! (sorry for TMI)
Also had a few stabby pains and hips were killing me!
Got a couple hours sleep from 5pm, and felt fine this morning.
LO is being very active today though!

3/5 engaged - my vag isn't broken, yes! She said 3/5 fixed palpable - does anyone know what that means in English?

Am measuring 36w though but MW didn't seem concerned. Can have a sweep on 15 Aug and induction would be at only 10 days over so 25/26 Aug - in theory mine is deffo gonna be an Aug baby! Can't see it coming early if it's measuring a bit small though and I reckon I will go to my due date!

Can't believe it's August, even my midwife said it's gone quick and it feels like only yesterday she booke me in

Had an awful day yesterday, was in soo much pain! Spent all day in bed crying and feeling sorry for myself then was awake ALL night with what must have been BH (cause they've gone now) every 7/8 minutes... Managed to drift off about 10 for a couple of hours but feel absolutely terrible now. What a lovely way to see in August

Looking forward to see who goes first!! xx

You should have asked your mw how engaged bubs is, like to describe it. at my last appointment more of baba's head was in my pelvis, so I know she's moving in the right direction. I don't think you fully engage until you are in labour, that's what my mw said. 3/5 is good tho deffo going in the right direction xxx

I think the 3/5 means she can feel 3/5's of the head so 2/5's of the head is in my pelvis...

I don't know what the fixed palpable means though? I have got the most amount of pain in my pelvis tonight though, I can barely walk - OUCH! x

jen - your right with your definition of 3/5ths! as im the same fixed palpable means that the bit of the head that is in your pelvis is fixed, so not going to come back up, and the palpable shows that the part that isn't in your pelvis is clear and she can feel it and "move it"! thats how my mw described it to me!

I wish they would explain it properly, sometimes I read my notes and wonder what all the gobble-de-gook they've written actually means. But that's great you're engaged! (or engaging!).

i wish my mw would right things down in my notes! she told us that hes engaged and then when we were home i checked my notes and she hadn't written in that he was engaged only have one more appointment with her now though . . . unless i go overdue, will be nice to not have to see her!
