*August Mummys - Our Tri3 Thread*

Emerald - I am so fed up with the texts/calls too, am ignoring them! Think my SIL is in a mood with me as I told her I wasn't feeling ver sociable when she asked to come round for tea & a catch up!

Oooh Kel - Charlie has 2 more days to potentially be a July baby :) x

I'm due 31st August.....whats the bets I go in August or September?? I wanna be an August baby, not September!!!! For school reasons of course!!

Tracey I reckon you'll stay in the august club :)
I seem to have my nesting instinct back (finally) after a few weeks of not feeling like doing ANYTHING. I might even do some baking! :)

LuLu - i'm going to bake a carrot cake in a bit :)

so has mw this morning, actually went ok, baby is engaged 3/5 so a good start! OH decided it would be nice to buy me an ball so i can bounce, got a nice big green one :) then i took him for breakfast, with which he turned round and took me to a jewellers . . . to pick out an engagement ring  :good: only been talking about it for the last 2 years! though i got to choose what i wanted  though he's decided that he's going to put it away and surprise me at some-point! (once he gets it as it has to be ordered in!) so i'm feeling quite good today!

hope your all having a nice afternoon x

Awww Spice that's lovely - great news about bubs head engaging & fab news about the engagement ring!
X

i think the pressure of people asking if we're going to get married got to him! but i'm not going to complain! i get the ring i like and still get the surprise of him proposing!

so happy that she actually told me that he's engaged, have a odd feeling that he might have been slightly or at brim at the last appointment as she thought she's already explained it to me! (she hasn't but i've read it!) let her explain it anyway!

oh, i am due 16th august, but want to be overdue so he can be a september baby, for school reasons too, why do you want him to be an august baby?
he will then be the oldest in the class, not one of the youngest, which will give him a greater head start....

Well, saw consultant this morning... Francesca's still 'fully engaged' so that's all good :) Am being rushed through for my cardiac echo next weeks cause consultant really doesn't want me to pop before they know if anything's up. Refuses to OK my home birth but supervisor of midwives is coming round on Wednesday anyway so as long as I don't go before then all will be well :)

MW weighed me before I went in to see consultant and I think huge amounts of dieting will be needed after bubs arrives! I'm now just over 15st!! started off at about 12 :wall2:

Tracey... Fingers crossed or you being an August Mummy still!!

Really can't believe how close it is now

I've had some awful pains today. Walked to co-op for some toilet roll earlier and spent half hour in tears curled up on the bed when I got back was in so much pain :( I think my "still managing to still do everything as though I wasn't pregnant" days are coming to close and I'm going to have to start taking it easy... I guess I've done well so far though :) Still walked for at least 2 hours a day every other day and the days in between usually walked about for half hour or so... Just going to cut down a little bit I think :)

xx

My Daughter is a july baby so when she starts school this september shes going to be one of the youngest in her class having just turned 4. Whereas with my boy his first day at school was his 5th birthday making him the oldest in his class.
There is such a difference between them Paige just doesnt seem ready to me but she is my baby so that may be why. It will be easier for me if baby is born in september.

Aww spice that's lovely! :)

I don't know if my baby's head is engaged or not. They didn't mention it to me & I can't see anything in my notes. Getting sick of these horrible period type cramps though, I'm hoping its my body actually doing something & not just pointless pain! It's really quite painful.
Me & OH have decided to order a really spicy curry on the day of my first stretch & sweep because I desperately want to try & get things moving before having to have a pessary or drip

lulu - did you do some baking? i make a lovely carrot cake :) my mw is rubbish, as i mentioned in the post before i'm sure form the way she was talking that my little man was either already engaged or at brim at the last appointment, but she hasn't written in my notes today that he's 3/5 engaged! she seems to write the minimal amount she can!

luckily for me i only have to see her once again, as she's booked me in for next fri then she's on annual leave for 2 weeks :good: so got booked for a stretch and sweep for 2 weeks today at another clinic! BUT i am determined to get him here before she gets back from her leave!

Spice: I didn't have any eggs :( I thought I did. Was just going to make cupcakes for OH, so might do over the weekend instead :)
My MW never writes much in my notes; whereas my consultant always scribbles an essay! X

mmmmm lemon cupcakes . . . might have to make some of those next week!!! i tried to make some chocolate chip muffins the other week but they didn't turn out that nice . . . thats what happens when you deviate from the recipe!

Congrats Spice on the engagement, of LO and Ring..lol :) can you believe that your due in 6 DAYS!!

You girls are making me hungry with all this talk of cupcakes..

I think we should start a thread soon for us august mummys (just like july mummys have) so we can all keep in contact after we have our little ones over in baby and parenting! :) xx

Oh and dont know if anyone else speaks to Paiges_Mum on FB, but she is booked in for a section on the 11th, just thought id update! :) xx

thanks kelly . . . though OH has said he's not going to propose until im not expecting it! so could be a long wait!
i've made myself hungry just by thinking about cupcakes! we totally should do a thread in there!

right i'm off to get some nice food now! x

My josh was born Sept 6th and was ready for school a year ago. Saying that I think I mean more for nursery than school cos had to pay 6 months nursery fees when the august kids were free. I think here I can chose if they go to school at 4 or 5... Hmmm dunno now lol. Ill just take whats given to me I suppose.

Just went to town & had to come straight back again. It seems I can't walk any distance now without being in horrible pain! It almost feels like a belt tightening all the way round my bump, including my back, along with very painful cramps. I came straight home & put my feet up!
