Good luck Kelly! Looks like you won't be long

I've been having contractions since about 4pm yesterday afternoon, they've been about 7 mins apart but haven't really got much closer together in that time. I had a bloody show yesterday evening so I think they are doing something. I called labour ward for advice and they said it sounds like latent phase and could take a long time so just to rest and call back if they get to 2 mins apart or if my waters go.

I hope they start to get more intense, haven't been too painful so far x

No, she just said baby doing well, I did ask for more details but she said she is tired so going to leave her alone for a bit. I'm sure she'll let us know asap

It must be quite nice to have just her, hubby and mum that know. A very special time before the news is out there.

I don't want to tell anyone apart from my birth partners obviously. My OH thinks his mum should know so they can rush and wait at the hospital... I'm going along with it now, but taking his phone off him when the time comes haha.

I jsut don't want any added stress of other people waiting and constantly wanting updates etc

No-one lives close enough to turn up and in laws prob won't visit for months but my parents said they'll need to book a hotel so the sooner they know the better. But I don't want them there the next day really, might be nice to have a day or two to ourselves. I think they were a bit shocked by that. They're just excited I think! They'll still be first to meet squiggle!

Aw well she did have a busy night im sure shes knackered.

We are having a planned sect so family & close friends knows im going in but im tempted not to tell the news of babys arrival for an hour or so if i can. Hubby will be really excited so could be hard containing him. Just think it would be nice to have some private time having our own little secret of baby being there & knowing what sex it is & no one else aware. Be just like finding out im pregnant again in those early days.

All these labour threads & babies are making me more excited. Three days til i meet my baby...ekkkkkkkkk!! x

Every contraction you have is one less, and one closer to baby. Hold on in there. You're doing great. When have they told you to come back to hospital?
