I'm still here lol, bouncing away! Things are progressing slowly I think. Still same duration and every 5 mins but slowly getting worse...but still not that painful. Taking ages! I'm still not even at the stage where I need paracetamol. Going to try and get some sleep but I don't think it will happen, and if it does it will probably all stop!

Clary sage is really helping!

Thanks guys. Kelly, was it u saying about discharge? On Monday, mine got a really dirty yellow, but not brown. Then today, totally back to normal bar one tiny blood smear!
So maybe things are starting for you!

I just had a shower and not a single twinge while I was in there. Just got out and had a whopper of a ?contraction!

I'm never gonna be able to sleep but I know this is going to drag on for aaages

Yeh. Spoke to my midwife about it yesterday and she said its normal as at this stage of pregnancy we need to drink loads more. Lol
Mine is still quite dark yellow now on a pad.

No blood or brown though. Very boring.

Ohh contractions sound exciting! I want one :-D.. or loads! Xx

Good thing baby is taking his time. Hubbys running around like a mad thing trying to do all the things I asked him to do weeks ago. Ie pack his bag, set up my iPod. He's spent the last hour looking for his speakers so we can listen to his iPod!
I'm having to bite my tongue so hard not to say...well if you had just done it when I asked you...!

Oh also can no one please put anything about my potential labour on fb, we've not told anyone except my parents and sister

I mentioned about the brown tinge to my discharge. Going to keep an eye on it but could only describe it as dark yellow/light browny. Pleasant to say the least. Im still getting cramps & thigh muscles feel sore too. We shall see!

Denise I saw your birth story - your little girl is beautiful congrats!
How are the rest of us?
I am thourougly fed up! I had such high hopes for my second sweep working yesterday and absolutely nothing! We also had a curry last night - I had a phall which was the hottest one they did it was soooooo hot! Gave me the hiccups and then made me spend some time on the loo! Haha!
It's just the thought of yet another day to go through and not being in labour! It's starting to really get to me - I know first babies are usually late and I was prepared for that but the thought of waiting until the 17th to be induced just seems so far away - I know it's only a week and a half but added on to 40 weeks and being this big and uncomfortable it seems like forever! It doesn't help I usually wake at 5 every morning so the days feel incredibly long!
Sorry for the early morning whinge I'm just feeling sorry for myself!

Hello again Denise, congratulations on your lovely little girl

Anna it can take a while for anything to happen after a sweep so don't panic just yet!


I could do with some advice please ladies. Last night I was lounging on the sofa and went upstairs for a bit of sexy time when I noticed my knickers were wet. It wasn't wee and I don't think it was sweat as I wasn't very hot but there was a strip of wet about an inch and a half wide and maybe 3 or 4 inches long. I put a pad on and went to bed. We decided not to bd just in case and watched tv in bed. I was having some of those sharp stabbing type pains in my foof/cervix for a bit and decided to go for another wee and I discovered a huge amount of really stretchy quite thick mucus, just clear, no blood this time. I went back to bed and nothing all night/morning. My pad felt dry when I went for a pee in the morning. I just sat in bed for a bit watching tv and went for another wee and there is a big wet patch on my pad, it is very watery but not entirely like water and has a very slight yellow tinge to it.

Do you think my waters could have gone and just leaking slowly? I'm confused!

Sounds like some of the show and maybe some waters. I'd call mw or labour ward and get it checked out. Could be promising!!! .
