These August babies are being really naughty! Especially my little madam! humpf! Have had a major headache almost all day too - feeling rubbish now

These babies are being v naughty! I've had a headache all day too!
I've got my midwife appt in an hour and I'm hoping she'll give me another sweep even though I'm dreading it as I found the first one so painful. I just want to go into labour and get that part over with and meet him!!!
I'll be gutted if she doesn't do one and its back to waiting x

When did you have the first one? I think you can have another if it has been more than 48 hours or something...? My first one (that didn't really work because she couldn't quite reach) really hurt but the one I had yesterday didn't hurt at all.
I've got to wait until Saturday until my next one

I had one on Monday night at about 9pm in triage so almost 48 hours. I was 2cm then. I hope she does do it! I just want things moving! I hope this one doesn't hurt if she does do it - at least I know what to expect! X

Kelly, that's so sweet - its a pretty emotional time so don't feel bad about that!

Anna, hope you managed to get your sweep today!

I've been texting my MW (Turns out she doesn't just work one day!) to ask if I'd be offered a sweep on Monday at 40+2. She said they are more effective if I wait so she will talk to me about it on Monday. But, she doesn't think I'll need it! My UTI dip was negative.

During bump and me, I must have had about 15-20 'tightenings', and enough to make to make the MW there take notice but I played it down and said I was just ignoring it! The def got progressively stronger throughout the class, and they are still going on now I am at home :/ I still don't know what they are though. I've also had a dark brown smear on my pad, but no mucous? I am panicking slightly, baby, I'm just not ready yet!!!

I called my mum whose told me to start noting down how frequent they are. I feel fine though, infact between these tightenings I've just finished off last nights curry lol. Could def regret that later! And they don't hurt, are just uncomfortable so I'm assuming must be BH? although they are definitely getting stronger. The strong ones are also affecting the top of bump, not just bottom & back. EEP!

I've sent hubby out to the cinema. I figure things are not going to progress that fast if they progress at all!!!.

I feel really silly for this.. but..

Was just having a joke about baby being late and how typical it would be cause his dad is always late.
And then I said "my son is going to be very lazy" and then I cried!

Happy tears! The word son kicked it off. Im going to have a son! awww

That's lovely!! I had kids round cleaning my car earlier and I nearly burst into tears when they were talking to me as they were so sweet, I kept thinking I'm going to have one of these soon!
I also burst into tears over Holby city as a dog got put down :-/
Emotions are running high!!

So, who is next? Maybe spinsugar.... That'll annoy some of you overdue ones! Fx it won't be long for everyone xxx

I have a horrible feeling I'll have to be induced next week I haven't had any more pains yet although I am still noticing some tightenings which I've had on and off for a while. Fx something is going on down there.

Ahh bless us! Did they do a good job of the car?
I can only hope buggy is next. I cant imagine what it is like to be overdue. Then Anna!
I don't want to see another baby born before mine who is due after me! Lol :-D

It would really suck because I've said from the beginning I want a water birth but I suppose I'll just be grateful to have her out by then. Weird to think she'll be here this time next week all being well!

Ditto! Sounds just the same as me. Im a bridesmaid on september 13th which is 5 weeks and 2 days away! I was hoping baby would be nearer 6 weeks old than 4. At this rate, he may be 3 weeks old lol xx
