Hi ladies! Had sweep at 2.30 today and now really uncomfortable. Not contracting but constant very strong period pain and baby has been wriggling non stop for last couple of hours. I wonder if this will go into anything? Xxx

Ooh good luck. So is this your first baby? And how far gone are you? I'm interested to see how successful the sweeps are.

It's my 3rd baby and I'm 39+2. Have induction booked for 10th and my others were induced labours so really want to start at home this time but have a sneaky feeling it'll go to induction again. Still strong constant ache, so will see what happens! Xxx

Will they do more sweeps for you? Hope you get a natural labour

Anyone have cats? For the last three or so days.. my cats have spent more time around me.

One of our cats hates fuss and attention and spends about half hour a day in the house. However, today and yesterday she came and sat with me on the sofa. Yesterday for a couple of hours before I went out and stayed there for about 11 hours altogther and today she stayed next to me on the sofa for a few hours too and is being extra friendly and playful.

The other one is more friendly but doesnt sit with us. Currently, she is on my lap. She doesnt seem to want to leave me today. I went up for a nap earlier and she ran up behind me and curled up on the bed with me!

I'm interested to see what mine are like when I'm in labour as I'll be at home! They'll probably run off and hide! X

Evening!
I've had an interesting evening - at about 6pm my whole tummy shook - but it was like my baby ass shaking, it lasted about 30 seconds ish then he gave a massive kick then went silent it really freaked me out!
I called triage and they said to go in, they did a trace and all was fine with the baby I was on it for an hour. Then the midwives changed over and the second one said seeing as I was past my due date did I want a sweep - I jumped at the chance!
Anyway I found it really uncomfortable - I actually cried! She was so rough and gave me no warning she was about to do it or what to expect etc, I also think I cried because I suddenly thought "shit what if I go into labour! I'm not ready!" That feelings gone now and I'm excited that I might go into labour - I think it was just a shock as I didn't think I'd be having one today!
Anyway she said that I'm already 2cm and my cervix is pointing forward and she could feel the head! So we'll see! I've only been back half an hour and have just had back pain but its getting a bit less painful now so we'll see!

Thanks Hun, yes on Friday then induction Monday. I just want the excitement of starting off at home rather than all planned. And to get to spend early labour at home in my own surroundings. It's not the end of the world if it doesn't happen but would be fab if it does.

Hi ladies, that's me just getting a chance to catch up on here today, I've been getting all the wee last bits in for baby it's so weird sitting in the house thinking this is the last night here before I will be home with my girl eeeekkkk roll on 8 o'clock tomorrow night xxx
