I don't think its going to be any quicker than last time. 12.30 already. Contractions on and off since about 3am. The fact I'm posting on here still is a bad sign. I need them to be more regular!!!!

That must be quite frustrating although when I had my contractions I was wishing they were further apart. I had contractions every 2 minutes for about 7 hours and I was dying for a rest in between them. But now I think thats best xx

I had a nice lunch out with old work people, got a lift most of the way in the end so only had a ten minute drive.
Just had a BH and a horrible shooting pain right up my foof!! eurgh! Really not nice!

Ah I understand how you feel giz, mine were on and off for days and took a while to become close together and regular, it is frustrating as it just feels like it will never progress! x

Well my blood test results came back okay so I don't have gestational diabetes which is a relief! I had my 38 week midwife appointment this morning and she explained that the danger with having too much amniotic fluid (which I was told on Friday that I have slightly more than usual) is that if my waters go the cord can be pushed down ahead of baby's head - however because baby's head is well engaged that is very unlikely to happen. Why they couldn't have told me that at the hospital on Friday I've no idea!!

My usual midwife is off this week so it was a different midwife that I saw. When I went to book my 40 week appointment I couldn't get one! They are closed on the bank holiday and the only other day she works is Weds but they didn't have any available appointments for that date! They've said they'll give me a sweep when I'm 40 weeks so there's no way I'm waiting until the following week (when I'll be 41 + 2) before seeing her again so I'm booked in for next Monday. I'll only be 39+2 so I don't suppose she'll do a sweep then but I'm hoping she'll manage to squeeze me in the following week if I ask nicely/beg!!

At least I've got a deadline even if I didn't want to be induced...if it carries on like this to 8am tomorrow, I will do anything!

She seemed confident it would kick off tonight. But I don't listen to them. Last time they thought my baby was going to arrive by 10pm and it came at midnight. That 2 hours was hell, I thought I was so close for the whole two hours!!

I'm achy and in a right mood. Bought a second hand bassinet thing for baby to sleep in downstairs and the woman is bringing it tonight so I can't have a bath yet. Waaaah. I am so tired. Early night tonight required!!!!
