Thanks PeanutButter and MissCharli; that's reassuring to hear. Hopefully movements will start to increase. The problem is I walk around all day at work so I think he's lulled to sleep!

On a completely different note, when are we advised to stop wearing underwired bras? I don't want to damage any developing milk production! (whenever that happens!)

I think non wired bras are recommended from tri 2 onwards and definitely for tri 3. I wore them in previous pregnancies but won't be able to in this one, boobs are just too big and sore. The main thing is to take them off at nighttime as that's when your milk for the next 24 hours is produced. I think it's more to prevent blocked ducts than anything else because your milk doesn't come in until day 3-5 post birth

I'm holding onto my underwired bras, I just need that level of scaffolding lol. I asked my mum (an ex midwife) and she said it was fine so I'm happy with that haha. I'm not uncomfortable atm so that's the main thing.

I've never slept in them anyway (and tbh try and take them off as soon as I get home!).

Rose, yesterday sounds horrific surely you can't carry on like this sweetheart?? What if you went back to the Dr and explained that the painkillers prescribed had bad side effects? Could there be an alternative med?? Really sorry you are suffering like this Sending more hugs your way xx

Had my midwife appointment today, she advised I have counselling (CBT), as I mentioned my daily struggle with my mummy's death. She wanted to refer me then and there but I asked for the details instead (day, time) to see if I can make it. She said she will text me with them. xx

ive only just ditched my underwired bras, and im already leaking milk! so i dont think it has done much harm!

if your comfortable then stick to them i had to change as he sits with his foot under my rib which was pushing against the wire causing me agony! it wasnt an easy decision to make! but going from a c to an f i felt i needed all the support i could get for the Mitchel brothers

I still wear what ever bra, my boobs haven't grown much and don't hurt :/ I'm just assuming they'll have a growth spurt when the milk comes in. My nipples keep getting itchy and are super sensitive in the bedroom department but other than that nothing has changed. Should I be concerned? Xx

Nah I don't think so PB. Mine are probably only 1 size bigger, but they look all weird and veiny now. They haven't hurt since about week 9! And my nips are really dark! They've stopped being as sensitive now as well. I think we all react to the hormones differently and at different times

Don't know how any of you can still bear underwired bras! I've never been able to go back since I had my daughter, I find they just kill me with pain! I was a 34FF when I had her and was wearing a 36H post pregnancy nursing bra (fitted by a special maternity bra fitter that works at the hospitals in our area) and i wore the same after my son but to be honest i think that was too small. Some of my back pain is probably caused by hoisting these things around all day lol!

H4R I have the midwife again next week so will ask again but last time she said there was nothing they could offer but holistic therapy clinic which I had last week and they gave me a ten minute massage and sent me away with some aromatherapy oils. They've really said I just need to regularly see a chiropractor and massage therapist but I can't really afford that. Think I'm going to try a couple of chiropractor sessions though and just tell my OH he'll have to foot the bill or I might lose my sanity!

Also I'd try counselling HR4. I was never one for that sort of thing until I struggled at uni and spoke to someone for a few sessions and felt it helped. Then when I had two miscarriages before my daughter I really was struggling with it all and saw someone 4 times and it really helped. Just gives you somewhere 'safe' to get everything off your chest and not feel judged or anything. I'd definitely go in future if I thought I needed it x

Ladies i was walking though the house and suddenly felt something really wet in my undies, so I looked and there was a massive glob of yellow stuff I'm worried that it might be my mucas plug there was no blood in it though. And had a big wet patch around the mucas stuff. Does this sound like mucas plug or just normal discharge? X

was it like jelly/snot or creamy? The plug is jelly like.
It was most probably discharge, I can never go without a pantyliner nowadays xx

Rose I just can't imagine not having an underwired bra! I can just imagine bouncing and flopping all over the place! I also like the shape that the type of bra I wear gives my horrible boobs. I don't imagine a plunge underwired bra (if they even exist) will do the same!

I don't know PB It might just be normal discharge but if you're worried I would contact someone (depending on how it works in your area - I don't have a phone number for a midwife I just have the hospital number). They can let you know if it's something. Fingers crossed though.

H4R, it'll be 3yrs 3 months between this one and my eldest, and 2yrs 2 weeks between this one and the next well done for being proactive with your mental health, so many aren't. I hope it helps lovely.

Ladies, re bras - if you bf you'll need non-wired for the first little while cus under wired hurts like a bitch whilst your boobs are still making excess milk.

PB, yes that's your mucous plug. It falls out periodically during pregnancy cus it regenerates to keep it healthy and bacteria free when you lose your full plug, believe me you'll know it, it's enormous and completely gross

My boys will be exactly 3 years apart. Aimed for a 2 years' difference, but that was my angel baby xx

Misscharli I was the same - couldn't imagine not wearing one then one day I just couldn't any more and it was agony digging into my bump. I used to wear the underwired Deco bra from bravissimo and swapped to another one the same company make that has no wiring. Doesn't give the same shape I used to get but is better than the nursing bras where I feel like my boobs are just floppy and gross. After breast feeding two children they are now definitely wrecked lol.

PB I freaked out about a really big glob of jelly like stuff coming out at 12 weeks and I'd read stuff that said it renews and stuff throughout your pregnancy but then when I mentioned it to my midwife she made me feel silly and said the mucus plug doesn't form til much later and so it was just discharge. I don't know if now counts as 'much later' or not. Also my waters broke naturally at home with daughter, I just felt this sensation like a huge kick and a pop and that was my waters gone and I never saw a plug. With my son I was induced on my due date so I never saw a plug so I wouldn't know what I was looking at if I saw it! X

Random question but whatbclothes will baby need for when he is born. I've been given a large bag full of clothes but there is loads of long sleeve sleepsuits in first size would he be too warm in them?

Depends what the weather is like near you at that time of year? I think most people dress newborns in long sleeve sleep suits when born regardless of weather really but add vests and things in the winter. I was terrible with my first and never gave her extra vests or anything and she was never cold but with my second I suddenly doubted myself and was always putting him in vests and things as well. If you are in the middle of heatwave then I imagine short sleeve suits and blankets will be fine x

My bump at 25 weeks!! I feel so much more hungry this time round. I thought it was a myth that boys made you more hungry!

I was confused about baby clothes too for coming home. I have a snow suit from Athena, I doubt I will need it but I will take anyway. I do live in Scotland so it could be snowing when i give birth haha!

I'm glad it's not just me, I have been searching online for guidance about what to dress him in and it's so unclear. I'm hoping I'll just "know" when he comes and have been given so many clothes in sure I'll have it covered.
