August 2017 babies!

I'm getting the maxi cosi cabriofix car seat with the travel system package so that's okay, but not a base. They are pretty expensive so if I can get just the base secondhand that would be great, but obviously only if it's safe.

The mothercare here is truly awful! It's tiny and they don't know what they are doing. I was in Bristol last weekend and it was much better, but I'm not driving 2 hours just to go back haha.

Misscharli it's one of those things where it's just whether you are comfortable with it, I'd probably be more comfortable with a secondhand one if it was from someone I knew. Basically if the base has ever been in an accident it might be weaker or something which makes it less safe and it's of course difficult to know a stranger is telling you the truth but you would hope they would when it comes to baby things! Maybe google it and see what other people have said/some research has said. I'd never buy a secondhand car seat but with the bases being expensive I can see how a good deal might be tempting x

Just a quick hello and to say Happy Easter. I seem to have around 7 pages worth to catch up on, on the forum again!!. Feelings lots of movements now...anyone had baby kick causing almost like a twitch on the inside of bum/cervix. That was an odd feeling but lovely in general to feel baby move a lot stronger now. I this k it was turning around lol.

Not had that specific pain spuds but I am noticing a lot of movement now and a lot of big movements too like he is rolling around in there - sometimes makes me a bit queasy feeling it's so violent!

Have another migraine and been sick another 3 times this morning - this is by far the worst pregnancy side effect I've had in any of my pregnancies :( x

Happy Easter everyone :bunny:

~ Spuds,
lol have a look at a prev post of mine, sounds like...The beginning of...ahem..."fanny daggers"
Anyone else's naughty baby kicking downwards towards the cervix?? I swear to you the kicks propagate all the way down to...ahem...my "v"!!! Sorry girls if TMI, plzzz don't laugh! Ewwww I am NOT enjoying these kicks!!!

~ Ohh Rose honey :( sending you hugs :hugs:

Haha I was thinking that too! Not The most pleasant of experiences ever!! I remember them happening later in the pregnancy but I am feeling them on and off now.

Ahh the fanny daggers, how I look forward to those

I had the oddest dream last night, in it I could feel baby moving and squirming about but it was so uncomfortable and bordered on painful. I'm wondering if baby was actually moving that much and it hurt cus of how I was lying? Really weird

Oh I didn't kno it was baby that caused the pain... Thought it was growing pains xD x

MissCharli I agree with Rose r.e. second hand car seats. It isn't advised unless you know where it's coming from as you don't 100% know if it's been in an accident otherwise. Our good friends offered us theirs but tbh I still feel uncomfortable doing that. Everyone is different though, in opinion and financial situation.

Lovely to hear that everyone is feeling lots of movement. Mine is still very bubbly/popping sensations; only had two twitch like ones which may be kicks? I honestly still feel like I don't know for sure! Would an anterior placenta have been picked up by now on my scans? My last was at 16w 5d. Next scan is this Friday (will be almost 21 weeks). I swear pregnancy turns you into a hypochondriac... should I be feeling more movements by now.. is my bump smaller today.. my bladder feels sore, is it an infection.. ahhh!

Duckie I'm still mainly feeling popping... had the occasional hard one, the movements seems less now than at 20 weeks lol. Mine ususally moves more after dinner but probably about 5 times a day before that. Can't wait to feel it more often and stop worrying ha! X

Just got My GTT test results! I am all clear. We agreed that as it was earlier than it should be, I will have another one in a few weeks to ensure its not missed again. I was totally shocked haha!

Yep MrsDuckie, it should be stated in your notes (in the report we get after each scan) xx

18 weeks vs 23! still waiting for it to round out a bit haha :)

Glad all is well Jill :) I don't have mine for another month!

I have felt a few big ones but it's mostly feeling like twitches at the moment ha :) but it's getting more and more often, and not just in the evening now.

I have rejoined the land of the living almost. In total I was sick 8 times yesterday, couldn't keep a thing down including water with my migraine and was in tears from the pain. It was one of those pains where you honestly feel like you're never going to feel ok again and are completely despairing. I think my OH finally realised how bad I felt when I broke down in tears and could barely lift my head up without wincing. Still got a bit of muscle pain today but my head isn't hurting.

Jill that's brilliant news. Mine is next month and I hate the test - would hate to have it twice but at least you'll know you're definitely fine!

Lovely bumps! X

20 week scan today ladies and team blue, so that makes 3 boys for us :)

Welcome to team blue Kumber! Can't believe all the boys in this group - it's crazy! X
