August 2017 babies!

I've become a bit more chilled in pregnancy too. All that progesterone or something like that. Think it's really common to have horrendous mood swings. I'm very tearful and cry about 3 times a day over anything.

I've had a bit of a break out this week as well MissCharli. Other than that my skin has been pretty good. Compared to last time when it was horrendous and i was covered in spots on my chin and forehead. :(

I'm feeling huge and fat and unattractive though. Oh well.

That's good you've chosen a pram MissCharli. Oysters look like a good choice. They are quite compact aren't they.

P.s MissCharli, i did go to doctors about my skin last pregnancy.
You can have topical antibiotics and benzoyl peroxide creams etc.

Can't use retiniod based acne treatments.

Have suffered with acne for long enough to have a fair bit of knowledge.

Go to doctors if it's really getting you down.
However hopefully just a bit of a phase and will improve on its own.

Xxx

I think generally I'm more chilled, just when I get tired or hungry I'm a bit short tempered haha.

I wish I didn't care so much about it, I guess there's just lots of things going on at once!

Yep I'm hoping its compact, I need to measure my boot to make sure it fits. I have a teeny little saxo so it definitely needs to fold down well! I liked it cos it feels really maneuverable and light. Some of them felt quite awkward! Found a decent package online to get it all in for £550, which the MIL is happy to buy for us :)

I've always felt like going to the Drs for acne before was a bit pointless because I thought they would just suggest the pill (which for obvious reasons I didn't want to take!). But I'm not a huge fan of them so I tend to avoid. But I am getting to the stage now where it's kinda getting me down, I think because it was so normal for a couple of weeks and it's actually on most of my face now compared to only my chin before. The chin ones are still the worst, but also now have lots of little ones on my cheekbones/next to my eyes. It's weird :/

But on the positive side I think I'm feeling him this evening for the first time! Unless it's just me digesting the spicy spuds I had for tea ha :)

I have been just as crazy as first pregnancy haha! I get upset over stupid things, like today, hubby, baby and me are all ill but we didn't do anything as that pair slept for 3 hours. I sat on my own most of the day. I cried... So sad! As for acne, I have the worst spots on my neck for some reason, they are so sore and super ugly! I hope everyone has had a good day Today!

Hubby just informed me that he really likes the one boy name I have been going on about and said that the only way we won't use it is if someone else uses it or if he doesn't look like the name. I feel so happy. Its unusual and I love it xx

Yay that's good Jill. I think we have a name too, or at least I have a favourite at the moment!

Shame about you all being poorly though :( hope you feel better soon!

Misscharli I had bad acne for years, my mum worked for a dermatologist and so did I once I was doing part time jobs and then later I worked in a dermatology clinic so I've basically gone through most options and it's always worth trying the doctors for something. I've had the highest strength stuff you can get (which you can't have in pregnancy) so I know plenty about them. I'm sure there would be some creams they would ok for use in pregnancy. I also (when younger) had the pill - both types for spots - and it never did much for me except make me fat. My mum had breast cancer 12 years ago (and recovered) so from that point on i refused to carry on putting hormones into my body and no doctor every questioned it so don't ever worry they'd try to force you down that route.

Jill that's brilliant news about the name - we are still despairing as we can't find a single boys name. Last night my OH read out 'Acid' from a list of unusual names and when I sighed and rolled my eyes he refused to look at any more! I said he was being ridiculous as quite clearly he didn't see it as an actual possibility so why on earth was he annoyed at my reaction?! He was just in a terrible mood really. So the search continues! X

I think I'll give it a few weeks, I'm going to Ibiza in 2 weeks with my mum and sun always helps my skin. Hopefully that will dry it out enough!

But if not I guess I'll bite the bullet and book an appointment. Im not sure why I put up with it for so long before pregnancy tbh.

Haha my sister named her boy Zeke, she always says its the last name in the book they could even face haha. Its the middle names we are struggling with. My daughters middle name is my best friends name. He considered his best friends name but since we told him and his gf we were pregnant (at 6weeks) he was really cold with him. They then told us they were pregnant which I thought was nice as they will be due early Oct but they have been so weird with us especially when we said we were having a Boy. Totally weird!

On another note I have spent most of the day reading Giovanna fletchers book, I am so loving it. Giving me a nice insight into having 2 under 2 haha! I also said I would pick up an out and about double buggy tomorrow for 50! Its all depending on it fitting in my boot!

I've had acne since I was like 13, and with my first pregnancy it was so bad it left scares all over my face.... it's basically the same with this pregnancy, since before bfp I've had em, I think I had about 60 mostly on my chin when I was about 10 weeks. I've given up with it and just accepted that I'll have spots forever lol.

We have our name picked out to, still uncertain on the middle name but we've had this name picked out for years & I still love it :) x

Ah the middle name is the easy bit for us! He was always gonna have my last name as a middle name, regardless of sex. Figured it was better than double barrelling it but I wanted my name in there somewhere!

I had considered my maiden name but it just doesn't fit well with the first name or surname. We had one of Hubby's family friends marry us, he was a very important influence in his life and I am swaying towards using his name. I said I'd prefer a strong boys middle name because first name is gender neuteral. I had considered hubbys name but him and my dad have the same name and then his dad would be annoyed. So the middle name is likely to be Craig or Douglas at the moment.

Middle names aren't too much of a problem for us- we have avoided using names of family members etc. My daughter got my middle name (Rose) so that she had part of my name as we aren't married but couldn't possibly saddle a baby with my last name lol. Rose was my great grandmothers name which I believe is why I have it but not why my daughter does. My son's middle name has significance to us but not because it is anyone else's name (Rex) and so because we have two R middle names we decided to go with that as if this baby had been a girl the middle name we had picked was also an R so we decided we needed an R boys name but haven't exactly settled on one yet!

I think when we find the first name we will 'just know' like we have with all the others but I have no idea what it will be when we've already discounted thousands! X

Hi ladies!
Sorry to hear about acne problems - I've been also wondering where is my 2nd trimester bloom (though my skin did not get any worse - it did not get any better as well, same with hair and nails).

We are currently on a trip home and I took a chance to go for a private scan here. Baby looks all fine and... we are having a girl! :pink:
On the down side I caught a terrible cold almost immidiately after arrival and am spending most of my time indoors :-( I know its normal to have colds in pregnancy, but I kind of feel sorry for the baby :-(

Aw lovely to have another girl :)

Yep my hair and nails seem the same too! But they have always been okay. Just my face, ahh!

I like my surname (it's actually my mum's maiden name too, which I took legally when I was 15) so I didn't want to part with it completely! We will get married, though we have already been engaged for 5 years! But I like the idea of him having an obvious connection to both me and my OH straight away.

I think that's nice misscharli. I like my name too it's just that literally no one can spell it or pronounce it so it's just a pain in the bum lol. We'll get married one day I hope. I don't really know why he's never asked because we talk about it as if it's something we'll definitely do at one point but he isn't particularly romantic and I suspect I'm never going to get the 'fairytale proposal' but more like 'well shall we just do it then?'!

Anyone that was looking for wedding wear Seraphine have a mid season sale on and a few 'occasion' dresses that are heavily discounted and some partially discounted x

Just wondered am I the only one who hasn't bought anything? Lol. I bought stuff before I had a MC in Aug ( 4 bottles a changing mat) but I haven't bought anything for this one and I'm 19+5 xx

Ah I have bought lots of stuff now, but made myself wait until 12 weeks. I bought some babygrows before my MC and they were hard to stomach afterwards. But I feel much calmer now, esp as I've had my anomaly scan and he was perfect :)

I haven't bought much, maybe 3 wee outfits. I have been given loads of clothes and have bouncy chairs, jumperoos, car seat, cot etc from my daughter. I bought a few packs of nappies and wipes but that's about it. Someone got the buggy I wanted just before me because I had to take Athena to the docs, poor soul has a viral infection. Still smiling though! X
