Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend! We've just been to look at prams, there is so much to look at! Has anyone else got their 16 week midwife appt. this week? Mine is tomorrow, I'm hoping I'll get to hear baby's heartbeat!

Misscharlii I was 34GG before I got pregnant and at around 10 weeks I ended up going to get fitter for maternity bras which have no wires as they were so painful! I feel just as good in these as what I did in my wires bras and these are just from mothercare and were £30 for a 2 pack black and nude. I also read it's best to change early on because of your growing milk ducts and boobs if you are wearing wires bras it can damage them and limit any milk supply etc.

Hmmm I have heard this before, but when I google it seems to be preference based still...

I think I may go in and get measured though to make sure I am wearing the correct size. I just don't think I can face bouncing around all over the place with no wires.

Misscharli we have everything on the same day haha! I bet our 20 wk scan will be the only different date as I'm away on the Friday �� I'm still wearing normal bras but I've been looking at maternity ones this afternoon online!

Hi Parker 123 wow I'm on my 1st pregnancy and not sure how many children I'd like, I think definitely 2 but have a feeling I will have 3 but could end up having 4 to make things even!!

Lovely scan pics I have to say I have no idea unless I see the 3lines that indicate girl or the winky waving at me from the scan I'm clueless!!!

Messaged midwife and no reply so maybe il get a letter soon for appointment.. I'd like to get my next scan earlier than 20 weeks because I want to know for sure soooo badly!!!!
Lots of people telling me to get 3D 4D scan but I just keep thinking about the money even though I bet I wouldn't regret it!!

il get looking and I don't like underwires never have I find they are too big and rub under my arms or in between boobs!

Prrrfect- aww wow congrats on your First pregnancy,everything is new, such a lovely feeling. I never planned on this many but never just wanted an only child. Whatever we are given is a blessing isn't it. I'd say you will probably get the appointment through the post. I booked mine after my 13 week one but may be different in different areas. I can't wait till my my next one, I'll be 21 weeks by then so booking private. I suppose it could be looked at as a waste off money but with previous pregnancies they haven't been able to tell me at 20 week scan as baby been in awkward position so I'm just going ahead and booking lol.

Elspeth-Yes my house is madness, plenty of arguments but lots of good times too. Was def the shock of my life. I was done at 4. My. Children are will be 13-11-8 and 6 by the time baby no.5 is here, (eldest is boy, the rest are girls) so absolutely huge gap compared to the others. Totally not in baby mode nomore lol x

Hi all I'm due 20th with baby number 5. Yes I'm mad!! Love the busy house though, although this one was the biggest shock of my life. Didn't find out till 11 weeks, was on the pill and having spotting and kept falling asleep. Else I'd still be none the wiser. 15 weeks today, not told anybody yet, going to book a gender scan next week so can tell the other children. Here's my scan pic at 11+1 (private scan) and 13+1 (nhs scan, put back 2 days) any guesses welcome x

So I had my mw appointment this morning and got to hear the hb for the first time. It was amazing!

Did it sound like a choo-choo train sound or a like horsey gallop? There's an old midwives tale re. this versus gender xx

Misscharli - awww thats amazing bet you were so happy. We got to hear ours briefly at the 12 week scan and I can't wait for my appt to hear it again.

Well I am well and truelly peed off! I turned up for my midwife appointment and they were running late by over an hour! Then I have been in and she basically done nothing just wrote the same thing in my book as what was already in! I didn't even get to hear the heartbeat. All she basically done was make another appointment for when I am 25 weeks!

H4R I'm not sure! I wasn't really paying that much attention haha. I have my gender scan on Friday anyway so not too much longer to wait!! It was lovely and my OH got something in his eye haha It was so reassuring that it's still okay in there.

Tashap not much really, she took my BP and the wee sample off me. Most of the appointment was her finding the hb, she started looking waay too high. She said I could book into the antenatal classes now and when to make my next appointment.

Like Rachlaidler94 she wrote the results of my blood test in there (even though they put the print out in?). I'm sorry you didn't get to hear it Some areas don't apparently, that might be why?

Awh man, I'm so jealous of you ladies finding out the gender soon or already have. I still have over 2 weeks!! But I can officially move over to second tri tomorrow! Huge milestone.

Well my consultant wants to scan me at 16 weeks for the bleed on my uterus, but no one is able to take me and I live over an hour away. So hubby said cancel it and try get a scan with midwife (9th) as soon as possible but it'll take time for her to refer me to a new hosp and that appointed I'll be like 15+3 so no chance. Hubby said he'll take me to a private scan at 16 weeks to see if the bleed has gone and the gender. Can't wait heh. X
