I've been giving it a lot of thought too...
My annual leave year runs from jan- dec
Also, my post is subject to the local authority getting a particular pot of funding from welsh government every year, as I am paid out of the general Childcare budget. Usually I'm not too worried but this April I know there's being lots of cut backs. I was planning on taking end of march - end of December off, but that would mean taking all my annual leave between jan- march and if my post then wasn't renewed (which I won't know til march), I would owe them whatever extra they'd paid out in annual leav, as well a being out of a job.
So now I am thinkin I will go off at 36 weeks and take 4 weeks annual leav in December as ML will be finishing early December. So I will still get the time off, but won't owe anyone money if job doesn't continue. Do you think that sounds like a good idea?
Trying not to stress about the job situation!

hoping that the gov will continue to see Childcare as a priority, with getting people back into work etc.
ALSO wondering whether to go back just 3.5 days after ML instead of full time. Need to decide that soon too as will impact on how much mat pay I'm eligible for.
So much to think about!! Xxx
