Im 19 weeks today and itching to feel the baby again. Iv lay still for periods of time and not really felt much. Here's hoping they start soon!

I tend to find i have a day where baby is quite active, followed by a day where i barely feel anything. Looking forward to when the feelings get stronger

Morning all, I'm feeling a little sore this morning but my consultant has booked me in for another scan today so he can check everything is well. Aww all the new babies!! In our hospital our pre and post natal wards are together (one to left and other to right) and I've saw all the new babies........ So excited I can't wait xx

I'm still in bed, can't move. So tired, feeling so sick. Put too much milk in my tea and the lactose has made me nauseous. DH is at physio then hoping he'll come back and bring pancakes and a cat for me to pet.
That is my plan for the week and weekend. Eating pancakes and petting cats.

Oh and my niece's birthday party on sat, her daddy's a chef and does the best buffets!

Tommo - feel better soon. And hope the cat petting helped/helps?! I loved it when my kitten came purring to cuddle into my neck this morning she's adorable. The mad puppy however rarely stays still long enough to cuddle so cats are much better

Today is my LO's 1st birthday, cant believe this time last year I had only just given birth.

So tomorrow I am half way there, as I'm 20 weeks. Got my 20 week scan on Monday. I was looking forward to it but today I've had a letter to say I am getting a longer scan than normal because something in my blood indicates I could have a smaller baby than normal and they need to check! Not sure what that's all about.

Has anyone else got their scan next week? I'm looking forward to finding out if it's a boy or girl!!

Oooooh exciting, are you finding out the sex?

Last time we asked to find out but told her not to tell us and write it on the notes, then we went to our favourite restaurant, ordered the food and checked the notes. It was so much nicer than finding out in a room with a stranger. Not sure we'll do the same this time though, don't think we have enough time for lunch

Well, I've had a horrendous day.

Got called into the office at 2pm today to be told I won't have a job post march, as they have to make cuts due to funding issues. Had to go back to my own office, where I couldn't stop crying, and then had a meeting with one of my settings 4-5:30 so had to try and pull myself together. Got home and haven't stopped crying since. This means I won't be eligible for my company's maternity scheme which paid better than SMP (we were really counting on this extra money), I won't have much annual leave I can take either jan-march as our annual leave runs jan-dec. plus I am going to be trying to job hunt with a newborn. I love my job, and I love the team I work with, and I am so so upset that this is happening. I have no idea how we are going to cope financially.
My job was always subject to funding, but I've been there 3years and it's always just continued. I've been working my arse off recently and have been doing the majority of the work for two of the big projects we've got on the go. I just feel so let down - a far as I can tell I am the only one going. We've each got specific roles and so they can argue that they no longer have need for MY role, but I can't help wondering if my pregnancy has something to do with it. Wouldn't be able to prove tht really though.

I feel like I can barely breathe. And I'm really worried about the effect of today's stress on my baby.

My scan is next week on Friday! I am so excited, we are getting A's feet measured for her first shoes that day so I cannot wait for it to come!!

I hope there's nothing up with bubs Kedi, it's good that they are checking everything thoroughly though. Strange that nobody has called to explain it properly though.

I will try and catch up with this thread properly when the kids are asleep but for now I hope everyone is doing good xx

Shit Naomi that's really bad news, I'm so sorry. Try not to worry, it won't do you any good. You still got a few months to save some money to prepare yourself and you'll still be getting SMP. I know it's not the same but it is something at least.

Thanks miss yeovil, I hope bubs is ok too. I'll let you know. I just don't get it, what is different about my blood this time? And last time I had to go for extra scan at 32 weeks because they thought J was too big!! I don't get it.

Eeeekk news shoes!! I've been putting this off, J is walking between furniture and across the room but I've not bothered with shoes yet. I should really get on it, I just can't imagine her in shoes already.

Oh god naomi thats friggin awful. I don't blame u hun, id be hysterical! That's a stress you really don't need whilst pregnant.

Iv got my scan nxt Thursday and I can't wait to see the wee one again and know that everything is ok. Just in from town after some late night Christmas shopping. I signed up for the boots baby club and got the free changing bag worth 30 quid. Its nice but a little small. Although I shouldn't complain about a freebie! Iv just had a look and iv bought over 500 nappies already! My mum's spare room is baby central.

Heading to bed to watch a boxset of greys anatomy!

Naomi that is so shit! You poor thing, how awful. I'd be suspect too that your pregnancy has something to do with it, but like you said it's going to be hard to prove. If that's the way they operate you're better off out of there xx
