Evening ladies!! How is everyone feeling today? Only two more days til the weekend woop!!

Been looking at prams on the net today... Struggling to decide on one. Want ideally a travel system type thing with car seat etc, but can't afford to spend any more than 350-400- less if possible. Really tricky though!! Saw the graco Quattro tour deluxe in toys r us - the bear and friends design, which I love the look of.... But while there are a lot of positive reviews, people mention about how chunky it is trying to fit it in a car boot etc.

Hi there ladies i just wanted to ask you if you all have a 16wk appointment with your midwives. The only reason i am asking as i saw my midwife at my booking in appointment at 6wks. Then i had my 12wk scan. We are going for a private scan at 16wks to find out the gender. Got the normal 20wk scan and dont see my midwife until i am 24wks. That seems like an awful long time. Is this normal?

I have to make my appointment for 24wks which falls over christmas and new year so it will be 25wks before i see her. No need to see her before then apparently. it just seems like a long time betweem appointments

Ive got my 16 week appt tomoz with my Midwife. My Midwife booked it there and then at my booking in appt.

I do have a 16 week appointment with midwife on 11th November then consultant and scan on 13th December, she booked it at my booking in appointment. I'd give her a ring I think.

Just made an "in an ideal world" list of maternity clothes - eek!

Yep was fine thanks hun! Iron levels good, bp good and urine test clear she didn't check for hb though which was gutting, although at least I can check myself on my Doppler xxx

Glad your 16w appointment went well Naomi! Shame they didn't listen for a heartbeat. I didn't get a 16w appointment the last time which is the whole reason I bought a doppler!

Not sure I'll get one this time either! They do a communal one at 16w usually and they have the dental hygeinist and a dietician come and speak to you, but they didn't invite me to it! They told me if I couldn't go to that they would do one at home but I've heard naff all from my midwives since they cancelled my scan. I actually saw my named midwife the other day getting off the ferry and she gave me a big wave and said hi before I had even realised who it was so I was kinda expecting them to remember me this week! But hey ho, they haven't. I'm just gonna hold off on contacting them until I've had my scan and then if I've still heard nothing I'm gonna give them hell!xx

but so far this has been a lot worse than when I was pregnant with Aela and I wasn't overly impressed by them then! It's amazing how much things change depending on where you live when it is essentially all provided by the NHS and therefore should be the same for everyone!xx
