****** April Mummies!!!! ******

Thanks Lynne. I'm so glad I've got you girls to chat to, think I'd go crazy otherwise!! We are still going to winter wonderland with our friends tomorrow night, and I'm going to make the most of it as its not often that simon gets a day off work.

I have days with lots of movement and days with none. Xxx

I no how your feeling Hun I've been told today I may be being made redundant I'm trying to stay positive and I will get a payout but am still gutted as 12 weeks ago I moved to a new role in my company I've been travelling for 3 hours + per day to get there n back whilst feeling awful and my mum having chemo too so felt like I've put my career before myself and family and now this :-( just hope we can manage financially xxx

Aw no Nat I'm sorry, it's a horrible position to be in. If you want a chat at any time, let me know.
Fx they decide not to make you redundant. When would it be? Xxx

There speaking to me Tomo about my package and the other elements of it then it could be as early as jan they put u on 3 months gardening leave tho but I'm confused re smp? Will I still be intitled to it do u no? Xxxx

I'm good thanks Lynne just tired and sore. Give your midwife a call hun if you are ever worried they will always check you out and put your mind at ease. I can only feel movement because it's my 5th and I know what I'm looking for but it's not uncommon to feel no movement up until 22w. Do you have a Doppler? Xx

Naomi have a rest this weekend enjoy yourself and switch off from work I know it's easier said than done but this is not good for you and the baby. Is speak with Citizens advice as this must be a form of something as it's causing you and your unborn child extra stress and anxiety and that seems discrimination against a pregnant woman xx

Thanks leanne. No I don't have a doppler but iv often thought of getting one. Any suggestions?
Xx

Thanks Leanne xxx

Nat - you qualify for SMP as long as you work up to the qualifying week, which is the 15th week before due date I.e 25 weeks. Hope it's good news for you xxx

To be honest im just friggin petrified that im going to go for my scan on Thursday and they'll tell me theres something wrong. You ladies will be fed up hearing me say that.
Xx

Don't worry we all feel like that hun one way or another we are all scared at some point through our pregnancy xx

Aw Lynne I feel like that too. It's going to be lovely once they're all done :-) I'm sure it will be good news for all of us xxx

Yup I've got the fear for Monday too.
I'm only feeling tickles, no kicks or anything certain so I am worrying a bit. Even though my bump has grown. X

Naomi, can you speak to your solicitor and allow them to decide if you have a case? If it went to court they'd have to have really solid proof of funding reductions and every arrow would have to point in the direction of you losing your job for the business to continue. Otherwise they are just lined up for discrimination against you.

It sounds like your mat package is just more than they want to pay out, it seems a bit too convenient doesn't it? If it transpired that they cut you off so that they didn't have to pay maternity, you could take them to the cleaners!

Oh also! Got my anomaly scan date for 12/12 boo so far away! But day after my birthday so lots to look forward to. :)

Thanks tommo.

Rang ACAS this afternoon when I got home and they have said I possibly have a case... While the local authority who commissions me has pulled funding, other authorities haven't, and all the job descriptions are the same regardless of which county you work in. ACAS said that my organisation would have to prove that my job performance was lower than everyone else in the same role to justify making me redundant. And seeing as how I've met all my targets this year whereas others haven't, it gives me a stronger case.
Makes me a bit uncomfortable though as don't really want to keep my job at the expense of someone else losing theirs... Moral dilemma! Xxx

Thank you!

But if someone has to go, it should be the person who deserves to go. I know what you mean but the person who made that decision clearly didn't care about your situation or how you are going I support your family with its new, vulnerable member. You still have to! If there's a way to take control back from someone who has abuses their role then I think you def should!!
There are people working there clearly who don't deserve their job as much a you do!! I wouldn't even fight for my job. If fight for big £££ pay out!! Lol let the manager take the rap!

There is no moral dilemma hun if somebody has performed less than everybody else it is only right that it should be them that loose their job, I mean if it was sales ypu wouldn't sack you 150+ sale agent and keep a 60+ a day would you? It's business common sense if you need to let somebody go it's the one with the lowest stats that doesn't contribute enough to the company like the others xx

Thanks guys... Going to see what the director says next week and go from there. Urgh what a nightmare!
TGIF though - going to enjoy the weekend now.

Lots of us with scans next week- going to be a busy and exciting week! Xxx
