****** April Mummies!!!! ******

I've noticed my ankles are slightly swollen. Think it's normal but can be linked to preeclampsia. Going to mention it to mw next week xxx

I'd ring your midwife hun it can just be water retention bit can also be a sign of pre eclampsia, don't want to scare you but if ypu read in any pregnancy book they say if your hands feet or face swell contact your healthcare provider for advice. Do you have ny other symptoms like headaches dizziness etc xx

No I've got no other symptoms but I've been on my feet most of day too and mum said this prob won't have helped. I looked on NHS n it said its quite normal n as long as I'm not feeling dizzy or have a headache to elevate my feet. Maybe il elevate them n see how they are in morn? :-( xxxx

It's more than likely water retention hun try popping some ice on too. I notice mine swell when I've been on my feet all day even when I'm not pregnant. Just watch out for any other symptoms try popping a water sample into tbhe GP to be tested for protein too just so you cover all basis xxx

Thanks hunny I was at the midwife yesterday n she tested my urine is that what they test for? She said it was all good anyway! I've currently got them elevated and I'm making my oh give them a rub lol but il keep an eye on it! Xxxxxx

Aww that's good hun milk it for aslong as you can lol. Yes elevated protein in your Urine can indicate an infection but they send it off to see what levels they are at and what type as when you have pre eclampsia it releases a certain protein xx

Hiya all
Nat iv replied on tri3. I get swollen ankles when iv been on my feet all day but I elevate them and drink plenty water. I had the mw today and told her and she wasn't concerned.
Just in from swimming with hubby and im exhausted! Told mw of the couple days were Nel has been quiet. She said if I don't feel regular movements within 12 hours iv to ring them! Nel hasn't been as active this week but iv put it down to sleeping after work and swimming! Heard a nice strong heartbeat today and all was well. X

Hi ladies, epic catch up was needed there!!! How are you all getting on?

I had a horrible bug on wed, I had v&d and spent most of the day on the toilet. Not a good look, believe me!!! Couldn't even keep water down. I'm feeling a lot better today but lacking in energy, so trying to eat little and often.

I'm so breathless too, even sometimes when I'm sitting on the sofa. Wee rascal must be pressing on stuff. Stairs are a killer lol.

I bought my first outfit last week for baby, a lovely little red and blue dress. We are also in the process of sorting out 'big boy room' for my 2 year old. He's still in a cot atm but hoping to move him into big bed in next couple of weeks. So need to sand and paint some furniture we have for him. I'm painting it sky blue. He's so excited about moving :-)

Oh D&V doesn't sound good SS but getting your little boys room done will be ace I bet.

Painted a load of testers in what will be the nursery but can't quite find the exact colour I want. One more tester I need to get hold of but no-where seems to have it! argh.

Woohoo waaah that's exciting! Double figures tomorrow!

Sorry to hear you've been poorly sassy! Xxx

Think this lil Madame has her father's temper! Haha whenever I lean or put something on my belly she starts going mad and kicks until it's off haha just like my hubby gets when he tries a bit of diy lol xx

Hiya, I've been a bit quiet this week, but hope you're all ok.

How are you getting on with the crutches mrs p?

3lm pip is the same. If in sitting and rest my arm on my bump the boot at me to move! What stroppy babies we have!

The pain is pretty much the same, though yesterday was especially bad. Crutches help, which is something, but to get anywhere I have to negotiate 32 stairs (though thank goodness one good thing about being in a flat is no stairs to get to the loo!) Am trying to stay positive and smiley. This is now unexpected bonus crochet/cross stitch/paper cutting time. He now has 3 hats, 2 papercuts for his nursery wall, a crochet toy moomin and I'm part way through a little waistcoat that should fit when my friend gets married in September. Just have to keep changing positions, be really careful and sleep when I can because it's not making slerp easy either. Saw the midwife Wednesday, and she's happy with how he is, but I may end up induced on due date, or c-section before, and have been threatened with bed rest at hospital. So the goals are to avoid being in hospital and to make it to due date (and to finish all the crochet and cross stitch I have planned!).

Hope you all have a lovely Saturday. Catch you this evening. Xx
