Tweety I'm so pleased for you and your family. The DS diagnosis I'm sure is a massive shock for you and hubby but over time it will pale into insignificance when your little dude (who is a super cutie) starts to develop and he becomes his own person. I have worked with and supported dozens of people with DS and very rarely have I seen it have a negative effect on their lives. It is what it is and I'm sure it will not define Aaron as he grows. Hope you get to go home soon and you can start moving forward. Love to you all.xxx

Thank you all for your kind and reassuring words. We got home yesterday and are attempting to settle in

Aaron is doing really well putting back on 5% of his 9.9% that he's lost in two days

I'm exhausted, he still won't latch on to feed but we are still trying, meantime I'm still expressing every three hours and between trying to get him to feed and bottle feeding the expressed milk there is little time left for anything else

I'm having to top my lil one up with formula now as i dont have enough milk but when i was trying to get my supply going, i always either had the baby or the pumps attatched to my boobs!! I was expressing for 1/2 hour every 2 hours and all to no avail!!! Good on you for persevering and hopefully he'll latch on soon

Tracey, I've only just seen this, congratulations on your beautiful little boy, I'm so pleased that you are both home, I hope that your hubby, is coming to terms with the diagnosis. I hope Aaron's little heart is healing all by itself he is truly going to fill your lives with love, hope you all get the support you need, as for the feeding, well done hun, you are doing a fantastic job, hope his sucking reflex kicks in soon, I had the same thing with josh, he never latched on and I ended up giving formula at 2 weeks as my milk had dried up, you are already a fantastic mummy to a very special little boy, hope you are getting sleep hunny and feeling ok yourself xxx
