Congratulations Hun, he really is a little beauty, I hope his little heart heals and he brings you and Hubby lots of happiness. :)

xx

Gorgeous little man you have there, as someone else said, bet he's worth all the pregnancy woes you had to deal with, they'll be a distant memory before you know it. I'm sorry you're having more difficult circumstances, especially if your dh is struggling with the diagnosis. But your little family will be strong and you'll deal with adversity together xx

Hes doin well, there may be a problem with his heart but they are going to give it more time to see if it repairs itself.

He's had problems feeding and although he's not breastfeeding yet I'm expressing every 3 hours around the clock and he's starting to do well taking it from a bottle, it's a good sign that he's able to suck.

Ha has had jaundice and spent the night getting phototherapy, this mornings blood test says the jaundice has cleared, but hes gettin repeat bloods tonight

He had passed his basic hearing test and basic physical exam and he appears very strong.

He's managed to keep his weight loss within the 10% allowance (scraping by at 9.9) so hopefully we will get home tomorrow

I know very little about his condition if I'm honest, but know we will need support from all the agencies that we can.

Hubby isn't taking it so well, I'm really keen to get us both home so they can bond

Please excuse any typos from my fat fingers!
Tapatalk madness!

This all sounds very positive hun, and as Cosmic said hopefully any heart issues are minor, as they didn't flag up at your 20 week scan.

It is very common for DS babies to have heart problems BUT the severity varies so much and it sounds like Aaron is on the less severe end of the spectrum.

Of course the experts will confirm this all with you.

Your head must be all over the place, I mean he is a month early after all which in itself is a complete shock, but a good shock.

All sorts of God awful things were running for me my after you posted at the weekend, and I must confess I am so reassured to hear your update.

Please give your hubby some time, he's not had bub inside of him for the past 8 months. Regardless of the DS, I think men do have a tough deal so be patient with him. I know you need support yourself right now and I am sure hubby will step up to the plate but do appreciate you have been madly in love with Aaron for many months now whereas hubby has only just met him.

When you are ready and settled there are lots of places to seek info and advice and support.

For the time being darling you just need to get your little family home and spend some time together.

Lots of love to you all

xxxxxxxx

I'm so sorry you've had a double surprise between the early labour and the DS, but if there is anyone out there with the strength to take fabulous care, whether he needs extra medical care or not, of him it's you x

beauty healthy baby boy, congratulations! xxx

Tweety, if you need any help with anything feel free to pm me, as you may know we had pre natal diagnosis of DS, currently at 36 weeks
I can give you names of a lot of support groups for when you are ready
Congratulations xx

Congrats tweety! Like the others have said I think regardless of the diagnosis OHs do struggle to bond with LOs once they are born due to the overall shock of seeing what you have gone through and then another little person taking all your time and attention, I think they can feel a bit pushed out. Give it time and once you are home and as he gets older the bond will most definitely develop, especially once he is smiling, cooing and giggling :)! Xxx

Aww he is yummy :) well done and congratulations xxx

He is absolutely beautiful. I'm so sorry you have had such a shock with his diagnosis and that your OH is understandably struggling to bond at the moment but i just wanted to say that my uncle has downs and they are the friendliest people you'll meet. All the best for when you get him home xx

He is absolutely gorgeous Tweety, I hope his heart heals up and that you can get home soon. :hugs: x
