Aww Kwarbee :hugs:I would be exactly the same! It is an anxious enough time for us all already but then to have the added worry it's not nice.
Personally I would book a private scan for the reassurance becuase waiting 5 weeks will not only feel like forever but you'll end up a nervous wreck! xx

Thanks ladies. I think I might need to book a scan, I'll just have 5 weeks of worrying about it otherwise xx

Is your sanity worth £50?
Book the scan hon, get yourself some reassurance.

The MW today spent ages telling me not to worry if she couldn't find the heartbeat as "it's a chasing game at this stage", then promptly found the heartbeat two seconds later.

And, I fainted. Right there in the room with the midwife.
She checked my BP and it was 80 over 40, which apparently is quite low.

Feel sick too so going to bed for a bit before I go back to the docs this afternoon to see about this hip pain.

Lovely. Xx

Boosh, lovely bump coming on there! neat...mine is huge in comparison!

Claire, defo get checked hun, the hormones; can completely relate to but you are probably full of fear too. xx

Kwarbee, do you have an anterior placenta? I would have the scan booked just to put your mind at ease! xx

Lacey; fainting in front of the midwife; what did she do?! hope you're ok? I have low blood pressure too and faint regularly! nasty! are you ok?

I am mainly feeling fat, snotty and tired! Boobs are causing me pain at night and have had some cramps the past couple of days. Looking forward to feeling stuff and looking pregnant not fat!

I feel i have hit a Lull, all was super exciting, weks whizzing by now I don't feel anything and i keep wondering if Iv made it up!

Scan was amazing ladies, all is well. The midwife said that we have a stubborn baby as she couldn't get the measurements needed for the Down's syndrome testing, so got to have a blood test at 16 week appointment for that. She also couldn't get a great picture, as baby just wanted to do head stands haha we have a stubborn little gymnast on our hands! My due date is 31st July. Got to go to work now and pretend I haven't just seen the greatest thing in my life, as want to tell all family and friends over the weekend, so colleagues will find out Monday!
xx

Ahh Kaylip that's great news!! Really chuffed for you! and good luck with the pretending!! xx

Off to the docs at 240. Hopefully they can put some sense to it all and help me :( xxx

Lovely news kaylip : )

Hope your appointment goes ok Claire

Kwarbee hope you can get a scan soon for reassurance hun

I want my next scsn to hurry up now still 4 weeks to go : ( x

Fantastic news, Kaylip. I'm so pleased for you.

Lacey, take it easy and rest, take care of yourself!

Bonze, I'm not sure if I have an anterior placenta, they didn't tell me at my 12w scan so I have no idea.

Claire, all the best for the doctors. I hope they can help you out and make things a little easier for you.

I'm fortunate that I work in a Maternity unit and a colleague of mine who knows the sonographers has just asked if they could give me a quick scan. They said they'll try their best to fit me in this afternoon, so hopefully I should be having a quick one today. Just waiting for them to call now xx

Had the scan and baby is absolutely fine. Heartbeat was there flickering away. Baby was asleep upside down at first but she woke them up and he/she turned to face us and then had a wriggle around on their back. He/she rubbed their eyes and flexed their fingers a few times too. Had a quick suck on their thumb as well. So relieved xx

Ah, what a relief! Bet it was even more amazing to see after this mornings panic.

Brilliant that you got that for free at such short notice too, perks of the job.

Hope you're much happier now. I know how horrible it is when you're fearing the worst.x

So pleased for you Kwarbee
Bet it was lovely to see baby after all that worry
X

Oh what lovely news hun! Bet the relief you felt was amazing! xx

Thanks ladies. It really was such a huge relief. I am so lucky that I work in this area and could get such quick reassurance. I would have driven myself crazy thinking about it! It was lovely to see my sleepy baby. She even printed out a few pictures for me but told me not to tell anyone :whistle: xx

Kwarbee...BRILLIANT! The reason I asked re anterior placenta was becauseaybe that could make it harder to find heatbeat? But fab all is ok and your mind can relax!

Claire how did you get on? Are you ok? X

First timeumum I think growing pains are doing the rounds! I had a few days of cramps on and off...not like period though just muscle type ache, gone now though!

Wow, parp central this evening.

Claire, any news? Hope you're ok.

Nice work, Kwarbee and Kaylip.

Have to go out tonight to a meeting. Don't want to. Want to curl up on the sofa and feel sorry for myself and my sore tummy. Just having a 'feel sorry for myself' day. Think it's time for hot chocolate.

Parp central

Hope all is ok Claire.

Firsttime mum, I get a sharp little pain if I stand up quickly. It's round ligament pain apparently.x
