So glad your scan was ok and that your staying with July mummies Lola xx

Aww thank you again everyone :-)

Eeeeeeek firsttimemum that's so exciting! Must feel amazing :-)

Laura- not long till you find out now! 4 weeks will fly by.

Ooooops posted before I'd finished!

Bounty packs sound great Laura! I might see if I can go and get mine this weekend.

That makes me feel better Boosh coz I've been eating soooo much more rubbish than usual! At the time I really don't care either but then afterwards I start to feel guilty. Get over that quickly though when I'm on my next chocolate bar :-) xxx

Lola, glad to hear that your scan went well and that your sticking with the July mummies. How lovely that you get to see baby again in a few weeks!

I keep thinking I can feel baby move but I'm not sure, it seems too early? It's just a weird sensation that I've never felt before I was pregnant. Quite low down and almost like a bubble expanding. Exciting though :)

Laura, that bounty pack sounds lovely. How'd do you get that?

I've eaten a lot of naughty stuff recently too :oooo:

xx

Oooooh that's all good to know, thanks Laura.

That def sounds like it could be baby KWarbee? Sure I've seen other people describe it as feeling like bubbles. It's exciting thinking it could be anyway :-)

Just been reading back a bit and saw that Lacey mentioned about using slings. Is anyone else thinking about this? Can you share some of your experiences Lacey when you're about pretty please? I'm really interested in finding out a bit more but honestly don't know where to start! Xxx

Oh yes would be lovely to hear about the slings
I want to try one this time
Are they suitable for breast feeding also? Not sure :) x

A colleague used a moby wrap a lot. She preferred it to a pram. Can't recall if she could feed with it, but I'll certainly be checking it out.

Evening ladies, yikes there's been loads to catch up on after a few days! Glad everyone's had good news and hope you're all getting some decent rest in. I'm struggling with that but have been trying so hard to get early nights this week!

I've also had the joy of an infected gland down below, turned into a big swollen boil kind of thing on the clitoral hood area - it was so painful by yesterday I got to see an emergency doc. Bless him the poor bloke seemed far more embarrassed to be looking 'down there' than I was for him to be - I've given up on dignity with doctors lol! Got some antibiotics now that he checked were safe for me to take, and thankfully it feels a heck of a lot better today.

Hope you've all got lovely relaxing weekends planned! Xx

Heya, still dopey, bare with me.

When I think of a sling, I think of this kind (more of a wrap than a sling)... http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/321342490977?nav=SEARCH
This is the kind I had.

This is the kind I don't like... http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/271039377630?nav=SEARCH

The one I like that I linked, these are the kind where you get a big long stretch of material, and you learn how to wrap it all around yourself, then drop baby in it.
If you are thinking of this kind, get it sooner rather than later, and get practicing so you are comfortable with it once baby arrives.

I cheated.
Mine was a wrap that was already kinda, sewn in place. All I had to do was pull it on over my head and go.

I absolutely loved it.
I could have baby right there cuddled up to me, it stopped "handsy" people pawing at him, it meant I still had both hands free to carry/do stuff/housework, if he was struggling to settle I could drop him in and carry on, no need to worry about hauling it up/down stairs in/out car or finding somewhere to store it.
They are brilliant for breast feeding as the material is really wide, so you can have the "V" where baby's head is practically open so people can see him, or pull the two sides right across so he's completely covered.
I used to put DS in, put my coat on over the top and do it up, people wouldn't even realise he was there. (Born in Jan so coats were needed).

I'll see if I can find the actual one I had cause it was soooo easy to use. Can't remember what it was called now without asking the ex to hunt it out.
I'll see if google will help. Xx

This is not the one I had, but it's pretty flippin close.

See how it's already shaped and sewn? All you do is put your arms and head through the holes, put baby in, then pull the fabric that's hanging through the metal rings at the side.
Explaining it is harder than doing it.

I was gonna see about getting DSs back, but I may actually just buy a new one. (Off ebay cause even though £50 is bloody good, I love a bargin). I truly think they're well worth the money. Xx

Here's a how-to that's shows it easier than I can explain it. She's going slow for the sake of instruction, the whole thing takes about 30 seconds once you've done it the first time. Xx

ETA: should probably actually post the link, huh... http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xH1sAgnlRXg

I'm still sticking with not buying anything till 20 week scan but this is deff going at the top of my first to buy items
Thanks Hun :) x

Can't get the bounty packs off there website you have to have the pregnancy info folder off your midwife of they do them
:( are you sure it wasn't the Emma's diary packs ??

Yeah it was so sorry baby brain its the enmas diary you sign up to
Bounty packs are through midwife or hospital x

I might be in the minority here but for some reason I don't have any interest in using a sling. I might regret that once baby is around and I have no free hands and a crying baby.

We got a leaflet through the door about Morrisons baby and toddler event. Looks like there are some decent things on offer. Might have a peek in.

16 weeks today :) x

Congrats on 16 weeks today crawkay

Thanks for info on morrisons will have to have a look : ) x

I've seen people say it's not the best idea to stock up on lots before baby is around as you don't know what works best for you and baby but still, it can't hurt to look.
The Johnsons Baby box with all the lotions and potions in is half price, that's tempting.x

Ps. Thanks Laura :)
