Claire, enjoy the rest and make sure you use it well. Find something you love doing for yourself, whether that's walking, taking baths, drawing, reading books, all of these, or something completely different. It's 'Claire' time xx
Well done everyone!!! I'm so pleased for eveyone that everything is going well. It's great news!!! I got my Down's syndrome result back. We are considered low risk 1 in 25044! Which is good news!! I'm starting to get a little bump now and a few people at work have noticed it too!!xx
I've had something similar Jane was convinced it was baby making movement in there
But something tells me it's just my tummy playing tricks
Can't wait to feel baby kicks
Thanks girls - here i know you all understand and i dont feel a dick!!! Yeah i mentioned pains and she said its still just the stretching and moving but where im over worried and overtired im psychologically making it feel/seem worse that what it was and to try relax and not worry xxxx
Been holding off posting here till I had my 12 week scan. Looks like loads has been happening! Hope you are all doing OK. So glad your scan went well yesterday Kaylip Sorry to hear you've been having pains Claire, hope you feel better soon.
So I had my 12 week scan yesterday too. GP/ midwife had estimated my due date at 21st July from my last period so thought I was just over 13 weeks. But baby was measuring more like 11 weeks at the scan. They said it's likely that I have a long cycle and ovulated later and to be honest that does make sense as my periods were all over the place. This meant they couldn't do the NT measurements though so I'm going back in a couple of weeks. So will be lovely to get another scan in. I did come away a little worried at first that the baby wasn't growing properly but I've since googled it and think this happens a lot. The report does say that everything is absolutely fine, just less far on that originally thought. Was so happy and relieved to see our little baby and the heartbeat pumping away!
So my due date will now be first week of August but I'm just going to stick around here if that's OK xxxx
That's good news Lola. Mine was the same I thought I was 12+2 and when I had first scan I was only 11wks. I've always know I OV late and have a short luetal phase, but must've been even later this time!! I had to go back after another 3 weeks and it was absolutely amazing the difference in size and clarity of the scan! It was amazing!! I worried the same as you thinking baby isn't growing properly, but at the next scan baby had grown perfectly and was 13+6,which was what it should've been. Try not to worry about it,but we all know that's easier said than done!! You must stick around here as you've grown with us!! I'm so pleased that everyone's scans are going well!!
Can anyone else feel their uterus just under their belly button? I'm sure that's what it is as it's really hard. Am hoping it won't be long until I feel baby twinkle!! Isn't the second trimester just so much more exciting and fun? Xxx
Nice one Lola. By all means stick around with July!
Twinkle, yes! I feel like I've got two parts to my stomach. The totally solid part just above (and increasing) the pubic bone, then the slightly squashier section above, which I suspect now contains all the parts that should be lower down.
Actually there may be three parts. Someone also installed a wind machine.
So happy to hear all went well with your scan Lola and pleased your sticking with July
I was the same except they put me forward to my due date is 30th June now but have grown with all you guys and like the July thread feels wrong to move
I'm hoping my belly is going to pop soon I have got up again this morning to a pretty flat tummy only a little tiny bump
I still bloat a lot through the day and have a lovely round bump at bed time then get up and its gone again
Could it be normal to not have a bump at 16 weeks?
Aww thank you ladies That's so reassuring Twinkletoes thank you- it sounds exactly the same as what happened. Even more excited about the next scan now as you're right, hopefully baby will grow lots in that time. I def think it feels wrong to move too Laura so staying here. Everyone is so lovely and helpful!
Haha Loretta that made me laugh with the wind machine! I can relate to that!
I think that can be totally normal Laura. One of my friends was 20 weeks and she still didn't really have a bump so was worried but everything was absolutely fine. Think people just show it really differently. You might be one of those where you just wake up one day and you've 'popped', that must be strange! Xxx
Yeah sure feels strange I do vagley remember my last midwife saying I hid baby very well
So maybe this time will be the same
I just can't wait to have a proper bump and start to feel baby moving and kicking
Bet your excited about another scan hun I can't wait for mine, are you going to find out what your having Lola? X
Aww I know must be so amazing when you start to feel it moving and kicking, can't wait for that
We're not going to find out as think it will be nice to have a surprise. I think I probably could have been easily persuaded because I'm a bit impatient but my husband is really keen not to find out so we'll stick with that. What about you? I saw that you're thinking blue? I don't really have a gut feeling at all- think girl one minute then boy the next! Xxx
Yeah we're deff finding out I'm too impatient lol
We already have a little boy and we are happy either way a little girl would be nice but my gut just tells me it's another boy not sure why
4 weeks till we find out can't wait
