Hi ladies,

Sending lots of luck to Laura and Lacey for your scans today.

I went to the doctors this morning because I've been concerned for a while about how most of my cramp-like constant pain/ache seems to be very one sided. Yesterday the lower back pain started and, again, it's all on the right. Doctor has referred me for an urgent early scan to check if it's an ectopic. Scan is on Tuesday when I'll be 6+5. Very worried

Claire - strangley I googled this to see if the mw listens for the heartbeat and it is a mixed bag of responses some say they do & some say they don't as using a doppler doesn't always work so early it's usually for later on in pregnancy. I hope mine does but I guess it won't happen.
I'm still torn about the early scan as it is so expensive but I really would like one! I'll think on it over the weekend!

Was no heartbeat listening at my last booking in appointment, would be a nice little reassurance though.x

Hey ladies, sorry for the slow response. Been a mixed morning.

Long story short - there's a glimmer of a heartbeat but it's light and irregular.
Either, the heart's only just starting to get going, and it's not quite settled down yet, or, it's giving up.

Essentially: bubba's in there clinging on for dear life, and there's nothing I can do to help. Just gotta wait and see what happens. Back in Monday to be certain. If there's a substantial bleed before then, 99% Bub has gone. If it can hold on until then, we'll see a proper heartbeat and all will be well.

Hi ladies just got back home
Firstly I wanted to say I really hope bubs hold on in there for you Lacey I'll be keeping everything crossed for you x

I ended up having an internal scan again and they saw that the bleed came from near the sac and that it would be possible for me to bleed again but not to worry

I'm pleased to tell you that I'm 6+3 and babies heart was flickering away
I have a pic baby is the lower right image the other is the remainder of the sac

I also am pleased to tell you the fluid on my pelvis is slowly decreasing

I have now been discharged and set for my midwife appointment on 26th x

Also moves my due date to the 7th July x

Lacey, I'm keeping everything crossed for you. Hopefully it's just the start of your little bean's heartbeat and by Monday it will be nice and strong. Take it easy over the weekend.

Laura, so glad to hear your news that everything went well, that's great. Lovely picture too. Our first July mummies-to-be scan picture!

I'll be 6+5 when I go for my scan on Tuesday. Praying it's not an ectopic and hopefully we should be able to see our little sweetpea's heartbeat too.

Love the early scan pic Laura, its making me want to go for one but I'm also on the fence due to the cost. Will see what hubby says once I've broken the news to him tmrrw

Kwarbee, hope everything goes OK with the scan on Tuesday and that the pains are just down to bubba getting comfy

I'm really nervous about telling hubby for some reason...... And not really sure how to tell him, any creative suggestions?
I have about 10 positive tests I was just gonna leave somewhere for him to find! Lol xx

Kwarbee, my sister had an ectopic and her pain was really bad and she knew that something was really wrong, hope that brings some comfort?

I don't know, we weren't really trying so I don't think he expected it to happen so soon. I think he's going to be a bit shocked.
Our first took 11 months to conceive and that was with us trying each month, the month we relaxed (on honeymoon) was when we finally conceived. So we always said with the next one we wouldn't try so hard and just wait for it to happen. And it did first go! x

My bleeding is now becoming like a period so I'm sure that's it for me starting to ache like when af is due I just had a gut feeling about this.

It's quite the roller coaster, isn't it? I was oblivious to all this being part of the journey until the last few weeks. Makes you see smooth pregnancies in a whole new light.

LD1978 really sorry to hear that. I so hope things turn out well for you but I totally understand what you mean about your gut feeling. I genuinely believe I knew last time, we know our own bodies.
