❤️ December testing thread ❤️

When we were trying 7 years ago he prescribed clomid because that was the only option so we self medicated with that initially this time but then we went back to our consultant he switched us to letrozole so we're going to continue to self medicate with that because at least we know how I respond to that so know when to do the trigger shot etc without having the scans!
Again 6.5 amh isn't too low! My result was 37.6, which was really confusing as the table they provided me with the results reported that as an excessive response but after researching I discovered that the table is in Ng but my result was in pmol, so converted that makes it 5.2, which my consultant says is still fine and I've never had any problem with egg production! Xx
Do you get prescription every month? Im glad you said that 6.5 is ok for amh. I was a bit worried. Well will see what the doctor will say tomorrow. I hope he won't push for IVF.
I woke up today and full of cold, blocked nose. This came out of nowhere.

Not good news from me :(
Doctor said all my hormones are working fine apart from thyroid. It is slightly high. She said to go to GP and ask for tablets.
She said ovulation induction would not be suitable for me as I am ovulating anyway.
So due to low reserves my only option is IVF.
I feel so sad. We have been TTC for 3 years and now we have reached end of it.
Now sure what to do now. Id like to cry but I have team meal later, so they will see my face. :(

I’m so sorry. I know it’s hard not to be sad, but also take hope in the fact that sometimes you can take natural steps. I might be looked at as a crazy person, and that’s ok, it’s not for everyone. I honestly thought I’d be the last person on the planet to be an almost health nut…and I’m a long ways from being perfect. I was told the same thing, everything is fine, except I needed to lower my tsh….and there was nothing I could do about it. I am regular, seem to ovulate, etc. They gave me letrozole anyway even though it wouldn’t help….and I regret it….it didn’t work…and it messed up my cycle. Now for some who aren’t ovulating it may be a good option for them, everyone is different. I have recently just realized how many chemicals are in every day products like shampoo….that cause INFERTILITY…and yeah everyone else gets pregnant, but I realized I could try to make better choices. It’s a lot of work, time, research, and expense, but if you go slowly making one change at a time, it will help over time. Now, obviously, I’m still dealing with infertility, but I am losing hope in some, not all, medical advice regarding it. It’s seems to be money making. They said nothing was wrong with my partner or I…and that I could get pregnant tomorrow or never, and my only options were IUI and IVF. I’m not opposed to anyone needing those options. But for me right now, I’m just not ready. I also had a friend of mine who hasn’t had her af in eight months….and they told her there is nothing wrong with her at all. All of her tests came back fine….when obviously something isn’t right. This is when I realized I needed to do more of my own research and slowly begin making healthier choices to help myself. I totally get this isn’t for everyone, and like I said, I’m a long ways off, but I’m just trying my best in the moment. I just wanted to encourage you not to lose all hope. Hope your day gets better! <3

Thank you for your reply :hugs:

When I went to another fertility clinic years ago they said the same thing, IVF is the best for me. Well I got pregnant 3 times. 1 pregnancy was successful.
Now they again are saying the same. Different clinic this time
My thyroid is way too high 3.1. Needs to be 2.5 to get pregnant. I did a quick research and found out that if thyroid is too high it drastically affects chances to get pregnant. So I am determined to get it fixed. Apparently I only need tablets and they work fast.
So I will ring gp tomorrow to get prescription.

I can relate a lot of things you said. I changed my shampoo and conditioner to organic ones, changed shower gel and deodorant. Avoid all the plastic even bpa free . So I still have hope in me to carry on! I just want to get that prescription now! :clock:

How high is your thyroid? Have you got any kids already?

Oh wow! Yes, that’s a lot similar to me!!! I am super encouraged to hear that you have three kids despite what they told you!!! That gives me hope. We have only had one mc two years ago this month. No other children. I have gotten rid of the plastic and changed cleaning products, etc as well as those other things, as you are saying. More recent for me though. Very recent hahaha.

I was on some medication that I stopped taking…and maybe that’s why I can’t get pregnant. I took it for six months and it worked right away to lower my levels, but I got discouraged and stopped taking it. Maybe I should retest my levels and begin taking it again hmm. I don’t remember what mine were, but I will go check and repost. :)

My TSH was 3.17, but because that’s still within normal range - my GP would not prescribe anything to help with it.
If it had been over 5.5 - then I’d have had medication.

I am proof that it can and still does happen - miracles happen and I am so blessed to be in this position after everything we went through as a couple.

My results: (May 2021 and was not re-tested)

Morning ladies, so this happened this morning :D I'm obviously absolutely thrilled but also a bit nervous as I'm concerned that it might still be the trigger shot in my system! I totally get why you test out the trigger shot now rainbow mama
I took the trigger shot 15 days ago and it was completely out of my system after 14 days last month!
Do you think this could still be the trigger shot? And if I test tomorrow should I be able to tell which way it's going or will I need to wait until Sunday do you think?
I also don't feel pregnant at all! I always feel and have implantation bleeding, which I haven't had this month so I don't know what to think
Any input would be much appreciated please xx

This is so wonderful to hear! Literally just made my day!!!! That was the other thing that confused me…..she said it was definitely normal, but not ideal for pregnancy….and kind of made a big deal about it, but then said there were some inconclusive studies and maybe it was a problem for me, maybe it wasn’t. After it not causing me to fall pregnant Dr me decided I didn’t want to be taking all these pills, especially if it wasn’t working lol. Thank you for sharing!!!!

Woohoo!!!! I really hope this is it! RainbowMama would know more than me, as I haven’t done the trigger, but it seems like this might be it!!!!!

Thank you, I really hope so
I've been researching all morning and everything I've read suggests that the trigger shot should definitely be out of my system by now so I really, really hope so  xx

How many units did you trigger?

I’m cautious but at 15 days post trigger I’d say that’s your BFP! Congratulations! Keep testing to confirm.

Thank you lovely. I did 250!
Should I be able to see development in a test tomorrow morning, either with progression of hcg or a decrease in the trigger shot do you think or would I have to wait until Sunday? Xx

I think a lot of it is - if they have no real answers they'll use what ever is slightly abnormal and try and pin it on that. <3

Is that quite a small dose? I did 2,500 and 5,000, unless your 250 = 2,500? If that's the case I'd definitely say it should be out of your system by now. This is why I test mine out

To be honest, I'd re-test again tonight, tomorrow and Sunday but then I have zero patience. Keeping everything crossed for you but I'm definitely optimistic for you! <3

I think it's 6,500 IU? I'm not sure about testing tonight as if it's lighter because of it not being fmu it would upset me :-( but yes, I'll definitely test in the morning
How are you getting on anyway lovely? Any update on whether yours are twins? Xx

I completely understand that and I've got everything crossed for your next test... I'll be refreshing this thread every 5 seconds!

My next scan is Tuesday so we'll find out then! A little unnerved that I've little symptoms and haven't had any morning sickness so praying baby is still thriving <3
