@RainbowMama omg how scary, I really hope your partner is okay. How is he doing now? I tried to skim through the thread there but I got a bit confused as had to keep stopping for the kids, I hope you get your BFP!

@Sugar10 im so sorry AF got you too. Also no need to apologise for “moaning”, feel free to vent or rant or anything you want! That’s what this is for Hope the pain has gone, how is everything now? I have issues like this almost monthly, I literally have low iron constantly because of it and during my period can’t leave the house basically as I need to change pads constantly.

I started with OPKs today, first time ever using them. followed the instructions completely...put them on premom. It is showing as a 0 and even the app said to retake but ...Im wondering is it just because they're one step? haha They were brilliant back when I was ttc my eldest daugher 3 years ago but since being on here I've learned they have gone downhill. Is it normal to get a 0 sometimes? xx

I have horrendous periods. I can’t leave the sofa let alone the house. I have to take tranexamic acid to stop and ease the bleeding. It’s a god send I tell you. I literally can’t function without it.

Opks I have a love hate relationship with them. I didn’t take them last month as I thought I’d take a month off…. We’ll never again. I hated no knowing when I ovulated. When you put strips on to premom, did you use other? See pic, As it was another brand. I don’t worry so much about the numbers. I go by the dye on the strip. So much more useful. Especially when you do your temperature too. One step are crap. Easy at home ones are on offer £11.88 for 50 on Amazon xx

@Clarkecharm, Has the advice now changed? When I saw a fertility specialist in 2015 I was advised that yes aspirin can help BUT it can also hinder implantation. I hope it all works out for you, I have everything crossed for you. Thank you for letting me know EAH are on offer - I'll stock up.

@LuckyLaura, Thank you! He's much better than he was, although showing very classic symptoms of PTSD. Premom I've found can do that, just keep trying to take a photo of it and it should eventually give a reading. Are you taking the photos under the OPK tab?

AFM, Just finishing AF. Went to hospital yesterday for my cardiac investigations. I won't know more until the consultant reviews the results and I've had an echocardiogram.

Youre welcome hun. I’m really not sure about the aspirin advice to be honest hun. That was the gp advice. Hoping they go down the progesterone route tbh xxx

The specialist may say the same as what I was told in 2015 then, unless you’ve got a blood clotting disorder - which then they prescribe it via injection.

Progesterone would be a great start, I hope you get it prescribed!

@LuckyLaura @Clarkecharm , just catching up from your previous messages, my periods are ok considering I take blood thinners.. but every now and then i have a heavy episode! I’ve had stints in hospital because of it, couldn’t stop the bleeding and one time needed 4 transfusions , and it’s happened a few times. It’s awful isn’t it. I have tranamexic acid prescribed but because of my previous clot I don’t take it.

Do we ovulate 12-36 hours after our first positive opk or our peak opk?
I started getting a positive opk on 7/13 (CD 16) and have continued to get positives 7/14 (CD 17) and today (CD 18) I got the darkest positive thus far.

I’d say your peak is today, although you prob won’t know till tomorrow as it’ll get weaker again. I personally ovulate the same day as peak but everyone’s different xx

Okay thank you!! Do happen to BBT as well? I just started this cycle and I am confused as to when ovulation is indicated- at the temp drop or the temp spike after the temp drop

If you're using FF, at 3DPO it should give you crosshairs. Good luck, what date will you be testing?

@Clarkecharm Thank you for your help! For some reason I couldn’t find anything definitive when looking it up

@RainbowMama Based off bbt, I ovulated on the 13th. But going off my OPKs, while I started getting positives on the 13th, my peak opk was on the 15th. So I’m confused. Glow says I ovulated the 15th, Premom says the 16th. I had another temp drop today so maybe I’m ovulating today and I need to keep on temping? Base off of premom I should be testing on the 28th but my lack of willpower will probably have me testing on the 25th lol

@Fsb676 Aww okay I guess I’ve not seen your name pop up much as I pop in and out too. I always put things off till next month and tbh I’ve already been inconsistent this month. I was going to start CD10 but didn’t and then haven’t done one since that first one tbh cuz it just confused me. I’m really sorry to hear you had a miscarriage, sending hugs!

@Clarkecharm that sounds really hard ☹ I took tablets before to ease the bleeding but can’t remember what they are and I keep meaning to request new ones from my doctor. I haven’t really needed them cuz before my periods started up a few months ago I’d had about 4 since 2018 between 2 pregnancies haha I did indeed put them as Other but there literally wasn’t any dye on the strip. Stark white haha so the numbers were 0 and quite frankly id agree.

@RainbowMama I’m glad he’s doing better but oh god PTSD I’m sure it was just horrendous for him to have experienced. It was definitely under the OPK tab but there was nothing even on the OPK anyway to detect. Good luck with the echocardiogram!
