Sorry, I'm still here too, 3 days over now! Not really had any news to tell, been getting some backache but it probaly doesn't mean anything. Haven't got anymore midwife appointments now just an induction date on the 8th, on my last apointment on Monday she hardly even spoke to me. Have been feeling very wet since yesterday afternoon so I'm going to keep an eye on it, you never know it might be my waters. Surley this babies got to come out some time.
Wow! Not sure I'm that brave to be honest. I mean it might come to it but I think for now I'm just going to have to deal with the waiting- I'm not actually in any pain whatsoever or even that much discomfort once I change position, just very bored and impatient.

i hope it happens for you all soon, fingers crossed!
my sister just had her baby, waters broke at 6.30 this morning and she had her baby girl at 1.30ish, only had gas and air with pethidine, she said it was easy! shes not a wimp like me lol
she phoned me right after, the baby was being weighted and she hadnt even deliverd the afterbirth yet! lol she said she was sat on a bean bag and felt fine, she was so with it, i couldnt belive it
seems strange shes had a baby, shes my baby sister!

I have just got back from having my 'sweep' with the midwife!
It really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, plus, it was a nice midwife, not my usual one!!!
Apparently my cervix is softening nicely but its still quite long
she said that she wouldn't expect me to go into labour tonight but its not like she thinks it will be too long either! 
Its one that she couldn't really put a time scale on!!!! (Just typical!)
Anyway, Im booked in to be induced on friday morning at 5.30am!!!
They will induce me with tablets (thank god after reading that other thread), it could happen within 6 hours of being induced, it could be several days!!! 
Guess this baby really isnt keen on coming out!!!
I wonder how Urchin went with her sweep today???

I just got back too.
Apparently I'm already 2-3 cms dilated, my midwife said it would have been really easy for her to break my waters!!
I'm getting loads of braxtons since I had it aswell, and just hope it means I'm getting somewhere.
I'm booked in for induction on the 8th, when I'll be 10 days over. The good news is that even if I get as far as being induced (my midwife says I won't) I won't need the pessary as my cervix is already ripe, they would just need to break my waters so my labour would be shorter than last time (which was 24 hours)
As far as the actual sweep... I was amazed how "easy" it was It didn't hurt at all, I was expecting major discomfort but it was fine. I know this is probably because I was so soft/dilated, but phew... I was expecting pain!
