They stink hey? I gave Jax the Lovely Lamb Dinner one the other day to see if he'll have them while we're away on holiday and I nearly puked, it was absolutely GROSS in look, smell and taste. I had to keep trying it too as I stupidly made it too hot so had to keep testing it for him. He absolutely loved it though, couldn't get enough, crying between each mouthful, and wolfed down the whole pouch!!

Gonna make some of my own food tomorrow, any recipe ideas? Are they allowed cooked meats like chicken or turkey or do you reckon they'd be too salty? :)

Do you mean pre-cooked meats, like ham and chicken for sandwiches?

Here are some good recipes for first tastes:

Now I'm worried to try E on it. I couldn't stand the smell of the sweet potato, broccoli and carrots one either. I have just gotten her all the 7month + ones including the lamb. Think I will just have to pinch my nose when giving it to her :D.

It's like cat sick!! lol

Rhea loved the lamb one !!!! I like the hipp organic range too. Rhea has been getting on well with the lumps in the pasta based ones. She too is getting the hang of finger foods . Just need her to drink now !!! Xxx

Hunne silly question but how did you make your scrambled eggs?! xx

Whisked them in a jug and added a small amount of milk an cooked with sunflower oil. I cooked them a bit more than I'd cook my own and left out the salt and pepper just to make sure and she really enjoyed them. They went everywhere though I'll warn you!

This is a stupid question I think... Are you all using normal milk or formula/breast milk to make these foods?

From 6 months you can use cows milk in cereal and food hun. Or you could choose to still use formula/breast if you prefer.

Rachael Phoebe looked pretty chuffed with her toast, how'd she get on?! xx

She loved it! I handed it to her and she just twisted it about and inspected it for a while. But I had some myself and she was watching me eat mine and just copied :)
Trouble is she kept trying to shove the whole piece in her mouth lol x
