Hi all. Thought I'd join in. I know some names from TTC before. Feel like I'm not getting anywhere with TTC atm.
My story (I'll try to be brief and sorry to those that may already know)
Life got in the way of starting TTC until I met my current partner. After a time we started TTC, nothing happened after a year so we went to the fertility clinic. After a load of tests that came bk normal, they prescribed 6 months of clomid and a month after that finished I had my first BFP, exactly 2 years after starting TTC. I had a beautiful baby boy a month ish early who's now nearly 3.
We started TTC as soon as we could, but cos of bfing I wasn't having periods, so after 6 months bfing I stopped. AF came and went and in time I ended up bk at the fertility clinic. This time I got a BFP after 13 months of TTC. Sadly I mc baby at 11 weeks.
I got myself bk on track and referred bk to the fertility clinic. They repeated all our tests again and yet again I got a BFP (just before OH did his sperm test which we then cancelled). This was 7 months after the last mc and at just under 6 weeks I mc again. Spoke to the fertility clinic and they sent us for the sperm test again and saw us with all the results last month. Again everything's normal but now they don't want me to have clomid because I've got pg without it - was gutted. I'd got my heart set on it because I feel that's how I got DS.
In the meantime because I'd had 2 consecutive mcs and was over 35 they referred me to the recurrent miscarriage clinic. They did a load of tests and found out I have sticky blood which may be causing the mcs. That's treatable and they have referred me to the haematologist for proper care.
However, they also found out I've got impaired glucose, which I think means I'm pre-diabetic and she's told me to stop TTC until I've seen the pre-conception diabetic team! I'm 43 in a few months and my appt with them isn't until August.
The midwife that saw me in the recurrent mc clinic said because of my age alone my mc risk is 50% and the sticky blood increases that to 80% (but so long as I start aspirin/clexane at a BFP that drops to 50% again.
Wow ok I'll stop there. It wasn't short at all. Sorry girls
