Ttc shit boat - long term ttcers

Kitty my two best friends said EXACTLY the same thing. "You're engaged with a house what have you got to be upset about". Drives me insane! They aren't engaged or anything so they think that means my life is perfect. I said to them I'd give anything to swap and be back in a relationship with Oh where we had a naive little dream of all our children we where going to have!! Xx

So hubby has booked in his appt so that's good and I have my doctors follow up. AF due today... no sign as yet, but same happened last time and it just happened to be a 29 day cycle... so won't be testing until Wednesday if I can hold out till then...

I'm sure it won't be BFP but its nice thinking I might be for a while.

Also if it was postive my sister in laws premonition wouldve beem spot on. Both pregnant 3 mths apart!

Oh I'm so sorry about AF Emma :(
Hoping the Clomid makes my cycles a normal length and we can be cycle buddies again in the tww! (And then bump buddies :P lol)

I have everything crossed for you Dee

Feel crap today my anxiety was so bad last night got to sleep at 5 and woke up at 7 :(. Its our nhs appt today and rhen got to ring the clinic also and see if i can go in for scan today or if i have to go in tomorrow.

I feel a big big baby but I am soooo anxious for the scan whilst af is here! Especially now I'm tired too lol I feel like I'm gonna throw up at the thought!! I'l be okay if they let me sip water and have a sick bucket like i do at blood tests as a precaution lol but il look such an idiot surely??? I cant help it lol I cant even use tampons without vomming and passing out lol really am dreading it! I'm fine with anything else haha even got better with blood tests lol and I don't mind the scan usually and im fine with smears etc its just when af is there!! Xxx

Aww Millie
I can understand how your feeling
I would be the same, but try to think positive if you have your scan today or tomorrow then you can start the Clomid this cycle, AF is a bummer but at least it means you can start your Clomid :)
Let us know how it goes
Oh and I like the sound of Bump buddies :) xxxx

Welcoming AF again this month as expected. I really thought having got to near 5pm and her being a day late that this was it... but alas this was not to be.... doctors appt tomorrow so will find out next steps then.

Ahh so sorry Peroni :( its horrid everytine she comes isn't it! So pleased you have your doc appt though :) xx

So had the appt. Apparently waiting list to be referred in my neck of the woods is 2 years if a known cause and 3 years if unknown

So here's hoping we are not waiting that long!

Test results all fine. Progesterone is rising and lowering to indicate ov so that's good. Hubby's first app is next week so they suggest waiting before having an ultra sound or anything any more invasive.

I could go private, but they seem to think we need to just be patient and keep trying, as due to my job we often miss the crucial timing.

All the TV programs and adverts tonight seem to be about pregnancy or babies! Or is it just me?!

Oh gosh I'l not put the tv on then haha I lost it with the tv the other day!! Never thought I'd yell at a tv haha!!

Ahhh Peroni glad your bloods came back fine :). It may well be worth waiting if you think it's just down to timing issues :). I'm glad I went private so I can start whilst waiting for my nhs stuff to come through :). xx

How is everyone doing this week?

CD24 for me, not bothered with opks this cycle but if it is like my previous two I will be due a 26-27 day cycle. No symptoms of anything at all at the moment, af or pg. Now I know that just to annoy me I'll be having a ridiculously long cycle and as I've not opkd I'll have no idea when to expect af...

Hi all. Thought I'd join in. I know some names from TTC before. Feel like I'm not getting anywhere with TTC atm.

My story (I'll try to be brief and sorry to those that may already know)

Life got in the way of starting TTC until I met my current partner. After a time we started TTC, nothing happened after a year so we went to the fertility clinic. After a load of tests that came bk normal, they prescribed 6 months of clomid and a month after that finished I had my first BFP, exactly 2 years after starting TTC. I had a beautiful baby boy a month ish early who's now nearly 3.

We started TTC as soon as we could, but cos of bfing I wasn't having periods, so after 6 months bfing I stopped. AF came and went and in time I ended up bk at the fertility clinic. This time I got a BFP after 13 months of TTC. Sadly I mc baby at 11 weeks.

I got myself bk on track and referred bk to the fertility clinic. They repeated all our tests again and yet again I got a BFP (just before OH did his sperm test which we then cancelled). This was 7 months after the last mc and at just under 6 weeks I mc again. Spoke to the fertility clinic and they sent us for the sperm test again and saw us with all the results last month. Again everything's normal but now they don't want me to have clomid because I've got pg without it - was gutted. I'd got my heart set on it because I feel that's how I got DS.

In the meantime because I'd had 2 consecutive mcs and was over 35 they referred me to the recurrent miscarriage clinic. They did a load of tests and found out I have sticky blood which may be causing the mcs. That's treatable and they have referred me to the haematologist for proper care.

However, they also found out I've got impaired glucose, which I think means I'm pre-diabetic and she's told me to stop TTC until I've seen the pre-conception diabetic team! I'm 43 in a few months and my appt with them isn't until August.

The midwife that saw me in the recurrent mc clinic said because of my age alone my mc risk is 50% and the sticky blood increases that to 80% (but so long as I start aspirin/clexane at a BFP that drops to 50% again.

Wow ok I'll stop there. It wasn't short at all. Sorry girls

Oh I'm CD1 having had a very short cycle following an unusually long cycle. I did opks for both cycles. For the long cycle I didn't get a clear OV, but for the short one I did. However, AF came 12 days after OV which I'm not sure if that's ok?

Hey violet, a 12 day LP is fine, i think anything from 10 days is classed as normal but 12 is certainly plenty of time for implantation to occur.

I'm in the middle of my first IVF cycle so I'm hoping to get off this boat in a couple of weeks! Xx

Hi Violet, hope your stay on the boat is a short one :)

Exciting times Dee, fx for you. How are you finding ivf so far?

It's been fine really, egg collection yesterday has left me rather sore and uncomfortable but it'll all be worth it I hope x

Hello I've thought I'd climb aboard and introduce myself. We've been TTC for 2 years 4 months now. I've had both sets of bloods but due to my partners SA results we have now been put forward for ICSI. Just a waiting game now to get a phone call for an initial appointment with IVF consultant. The call can take up to 4 weeks and lead time on appointments is 6 weeks on top.
