yes baby train lisey !! Is the scan u had different from hsg and was that done on nhs? And is that when they check what ur eggs r like ?
I know what u mean I have seen people get pregnant have a baby and now pregger again with 2nd grrrrrrr
Yes the scan is different to HSG. Its an internal scan (dildo cam) they are counting the resting follicles and looking for any abnormalities in ovary size, lining of the womb etc. I had it done on the NHS last year and repeated it a couple of weeks ago as part of my private fertility investigations xx
Andreax2, don´t, it´s no use ! Ahah I really think I am out! I had a bunch of symptoms before and today they are all gone. I have NO IDEA what the heck is going on.
Another thing, on our first infertility appointment my husband´s sperm analysis was super bad apparently so the doctor did not even mention IUI and just said I needed an HSG before just going straight to IVF. However we begged her to just let us repeat the analysis and he did the next morning. The values were much better!! I have no idea what to think anymore. Feels like we don´t really have a plan. Is this even normal two have two very different SA in two consecutive days?
Lisey, I am so sorry for your losses... I really hope you can get all fixed so you can have a healthy and successful pregnancy soon!
Thanks Imber, I really hope so too.
In regards to the SA, it should be repeated but not the day after, they need to abstain from any 'activity' for a couple of days before each sample and I think they usually repeat them a few months apart. There can be a one off bad sample so definitely worth repeating. Is your OH on any supplements? I cannot recommend the wellman conception vits enough...my OHs motility was really quite low on his first SA, a couple of months of vitamins, SA repeated, motility borderline then another month or so after that (still on vits) and his results were amazing, motility on the high end of the reference ranges, count had increased etc even though there was no issue with that part of it but still great. We actually fell pregnant the month that SA was done, it seemed as soon as they improved, we got pregnant after a year of trying xx
Hey
I never thought I'd be joining a long term ttc thread but here I am. Been trying 19 months and had 3 tri 1 losses. Have had loads of tests done and I have a blood clotting disorder called anti thrombin 3 deficiency so now have to take aspirin and high dose folic acid every day. Hoping to have a wee baby soon. Good luck ladies, ttc can be soul destroying but at least we're not alone!! Xxx
So sorry to see you here in this section, I hope its not for long and you (and all of us) work our ways through the tri's soon xx
I thought I'd share my story with you ladies as I completely know how you feel and it is heart breaking. It took us 2 1/2 years to conceive and all our tests were clear but the last 8 months before finally falling pregnant my GP discovered I had an under active thyroid. I had been tested for this before however and they said that my levels were normal and classified us as 'subfertile' - lovely being put into a bracket like that isn't it!
Since they have got my medication under control, with my hormones coming into balance, I finally caught naturally in March and we were about to start IVF.
Please don't give up hope and keep at it! Good luck to you all xxx
Huge congrats, nice to read a positive story
Good luck to everyone else who has posted so far too, I couldn't multi-quote everyone but wanted to say I hope this long journey for all of us is coming to an end soon and leading us in to a new and wonderful one filled with bumps, cravings, moodswings, piles, fat feet and of course, our beautiful babies xx
