Errr I feel REALLY dumb, but what do I need disposable briefs for?

It's just easier to throw them away Hun rather then washing bloody knicker crackers that will end up been chucked anyway x

I just bought cheap asda ones to throw away, cos they were comfier than disposables. Xxx

On my iPhone - so cant see tickers :(

I am guessing because after the birth you'll bleed a lot and go through a lot of knickers?

Disposables you can just throw away?

Are they also made of different material to conventional knickers?

I thought it might be that, just don't want to think about it. Think I might just buy cotton cheapies and chuck them after I guess. I would never have thought of things like that, SO much still to learn!

Yeah I might just buy primark cheapies too. Thanks :) x

For some reason I imagine disposables to be made of plastic - yikes!

Think I'll stock up on cheapies as well.

It is true if you have a c-section you need really high knickers? I guess if it came to worse case scenario and I needed them my Mum or sister would pick me some up!

My gynecologist advice me to Tay away from those because the material is quite nasty and causes lots of irritation? I think I will stick on my huge one that I wear now. I don't mind washing them really. I will put a special wash clothes bag in my labour bag and just empty it all in the washing machine when I go back?

How do you keep track of LO clothes and sizes? So you leave outside only the size that wears and when it outgrows then just open the bag with the next size? Or you keep them all out?
I don't really know how to organize LO clothes lol or diapers, I am quite lost already and I have no idea how many of what I have...

We work on two sizes. Need to have a clear out again though.

We arranged everything into sizes, and put bigger stuff in bags to go in loft. We currently have newborn and 0-3 in the drawers, as some shops come up a bit different. Also she can still wear new born dresses but legs of baby grows are bit short now. I'm gonna clear out the newborn stuff shortly, and get out the 3-6 stuff, so that we don't grow past things and not get to wear it. Xxx

I've got drawers in the bottom of my wardrobe and shelves inside. I keep the size he's wearing in the drawers 1 for sleepsuits, 1for vests, one for tops and jumpers, one for trousers and dungarees. On the shelves I have his next 2 sizes (if what I have) lined up ready up grab. The last shelf has my grab able stuff like socks bibs etc so I can grab as and when I need them with limited rummaging.

How big are my boobs going to get?

I started off at a 32A/B and went to a 36C within 6 weeks.

I went and got measured in M&S again the other day and she said I was a D/DD .... I was a dafty and spent £60 on 36D bra's which are today feeling very tight :wall2: I seem to be having a growth spurt this weekend, as they are hurting again.

She wanted me to buy nursing bras but I said no because I think these babies are just gonna keep growing!

What is a sweep? I keep reading it on here and have some strange ideas as to what happens! I know it is to bring on labour, but what exactly does it involve

(though I'm not sure if I actually want to know!)

When the midwife, checks your cervix internally, she sweeps her fingers round about in hope to dislodge some of your plug / membranes which can start labour... Think you only get them when you reach your due date x

When do they do a planned c-section?

Baby's breech just now and although we've got plenty time to turn, doctor did ask me to think about my options over the next 3 weeks til my next scan. I don't know many people who've had success with the manual turn, so obviously c-section might be a possibility, especially since it had been brought up before at my mw appointments for other reasons.

So do they do a planned c-section near your due date or do they do it early to avoid you going into labour first?

Also, I've heard different things about c-section recovery times, if I get a c-section will I be bedridden for weeks?

I've read the hospital leaflets about it but would rather hear it from ladies who know! xx

My friend had a planned c-section due to baby's position and booked her in for 38 weeks x
