**The No Sleep Club**

:( nooooo sleep! for tha last 3 nights eva is waking up from 1am onwards. I feel dead on my feed. i'm not even getting 3hours in a row at the minute!

she just keeps going 'aaah aaah' all night.

she has had milk, has her dummy in, has been having solids, has bonjella on and she STILL wont go to sleep. I have no idea why not.

I think she has conjunctivitis but sleep fine during the day. i'm taking her to the doctors about it tomorrow anway.

do you think it is teething causing this? she is chewing on her fists alot. she has had baby rice this morning and potato at tea time so she cant be hungry.

any advise would be appreciated!!!

Blimey what is going on with everyone's L/O - I'm dreading my turn.

I wonder what could be causing it?

i've just seen what time you both posted lisa and ToriElla! i'm so comatose in the middle of the night that there's no way i could come on here!

followed the nap routine to the letter yesterday and think it helped. an improvement anyway!

he woke twice, at 1.30 and then at 4.30. both times he was genuinely hungry, so he's obviously in need of some extra energy for his growing at the moment. unlike the two previous nights (where he was waking and fussing every hour after the first nightfeed) he settled well after each feed. and i woke him this morning at 7 to get the routine off well. not going out today as i think he needs to settle into the routine well before it is slightly disrupted again tomorrow by us going to the baby massage class. and then on saturday we're out all day at leicester racecourse, as OH's work has a do on and we have tickets. (i hope i win loads of money!! lol - i reckon i'll just pick horses by their names!) i hope they allow us in with a baby in a buggy?! the will won't they?

Well, Oscar's sleep has been so bad, I have resigned from coming to this thread until we move at he end of June.

He slept so well until about 3 months.... 2 bottom teeth followed quickly after 3 months and he's sleep has been dreadful since!
At 17 weeks I gave him a little rice... it made no difference either. So now he's just on breastmilk - I'll just work through it.
I am really struggling not getting more than an hour at a time sleep. Even then, I seem to be half concious and dreaming. I'm past knackered!!

I feel relieved that I'm not the only one - I know how you feel - HUGS!!

Petchy - thats wierd cos I posted that at about 6.30am!!??  - Heidi didnt wake up till 6.00am. Strange!

Petchy I have been Leicester Racecourse a few times on a race day. Has Michaels company got a box? because I know you have to go up some flights of stairs to get to them. I must admit I cant remember seeing any pushchairs - but there may have been and I just didnt notice.

I'm sure it will be fine - give them a quick ring to check they are really nice there.

Hope today works out better for you.

Another rough night here and I know it's my own fault.

I'm not leaving him long enough when he wakes up, cos I know I'll probably end up feeding him anyway after listening to him moan and groan for 20 mins, so my half-asleep logic just tells me the sooner I feed him the sooner I can go back to sleep :?

better night here matthew fell asleep after moaning to himself at about 7.45 at 11 he was making noises so i get up moaning that the hungry baby milk was crap! came back up with a bottle he was fast asleep so i put it in the bottle bag thinking oh he'll wake up soon, he didnt wake up until 4.30!! YAY!!!! then he woke at 7 but had a nappy full ! so he is now back in bed having his morning nap!!!

Hey I'm glad he's getting there Sarah :)

i know it seemed to take forever ull get ther hun!
like u sed dont run to him so quick n hell get there thats wot i was doing wrong wit B

Seren seems to have settled into a routine at night. She woke up last night at about 12, I fed her and she woke again at six, then we got up at 9. She did take a while to settle after her first feed though which isn't like her. I could hear her babbling to herself for ages.

You mean you followed my advice and it WORKED???!?

thats the one thing i am good at not running to matthew and giving in when he cries, last night he fell asleep on his bottle but when i moved him he stirred which is good as he then drifts back to sleep in his cot when he goes down asleep he is more likely to wake crying last night he was moaning to himself for 10 mins then it went quiet. I only go if he is crying otherwise let him chat himself to sleep

Maybe i have more patience than i think!

kina: yes i am BFing and following a routine. it works well usually - but then i only use the routine for his naps etc and still BF on demand. if his daytime sleep pattern is messed up, then so are the nights usually!

I'm with you. Ella is the same with her naps - if we go out she doesn't sleep then gets in a hissy fit in the afternoon. If we stay in she sleeps more and is usually better behaved. :?

yay, only woke once last night, at 3am (he had done a big poo so he may have slept even longer if he hadn't!) and went back down again without a murmur 30 mins later after a feed. woke at 6.30am, again having done a poo and prob would have slept till his usual 7am if not!

his dry itchy skin also seems to bother him, he scratches constantly and woke up with scratches on one cheek today. yesterday he scratched his thighs so badly whilst waiting for me to run his bath that he looks like i've scratched him with a knife!!! that can't help his sleep either... tried mittens, but they annoy him as he can't get to his hands properly, and after 5 mins he's managed to get them off!

he's got epaderm, but does anyone know if there is an itch relief cream that is suitable for use on babies???

It was recommended to me to put on Aqueous cream followed by Oilatum in bath.
I hope your poor wee mite gets better soon!
Well done on the good sleep, Petchy and Ruben!!
