maybe you should start training him urchin to do what EM78 said! that way he could just feed when he wants without waking you!!

i have 2 different HVs, one says that due to his weight, how hungry he is and the interest he's showing in our food he's prob OK to start on some baby rice, the other is a very strict "no solids before 6 months" person.
not as much as he has been doing before! he has gained though, but is now just between the 75th and the 91st centile, where before (2 wks ago) he was on the 91st exactly (and had been since birth)has he put on loads of weight?
yes, every time! he's very good at going to sleep on his own, and before he'd even settle himself if he woke up and wasn't hungry - so he's def hungry when he wakes these days...Do you put him down awake all the time?
