I had a GTT in January and that ce back normalish so the only good thing is that it's probably not been all that long!! I'm just fed up of it all 
September has been a crappy month
On the plus side, the thing they were concerned about on my dads lung turned out to be scarring not the big C so that's great news xx

You didn't have quite normal values I see even before. So maybe it's an infection that made then jump up or stress.
But I don't think that you would have normal values even without an infection ifykwim so regardless what you will probably need treatment.
I suppose that they will eventually do a full blood work and urine test too.

5.1 for me this morning. I noticed every time I don't eat sth before bed my next first in the morning value is on the higher end. I have to remember to eat a ryvita with peanut butter and lc gem for supper today !!!
The weather is awful, is being pouring non stop the whole week...
Well the upside of that was a romantic night in bed ahem with candles listening to the rain...I will so miss those moments when the baby will be here...

Hey hun... It was 6.8?? Odd that is actually within normal range it depends what it is when I finally get to docs I guess?? And two hours after! Tbh I think they will prob get their diagnosis from that H1bc I guess as that shows an average blood sugar from last 3 months. I'm guessing I won't get results until Tuesday/Wednesday next week but I will defo keep you posted
Ive read up on that overnight thing, apparently quite a lot of diabetics eat a small carb snack before bed. Reason being there is something called the 'dawn phenomenon' where your body gears up for the next day, you liver gives you a glucose dump to give you the energy for the morning, if you have low blood sugar it will dump more, therefore of you have a carny snack before bed your liver will not need to deliver as much.. I think that's the gist of it lol

I'm absolutely fuming. Get to doctors they've fuckin cancelled my
Appointment AGAIN!!!! Ive got to wait till Wednesday. I said its unfair to tell someone they are pretty much diabetic, then make them wait 2 weeks only to cancel the appointment!!! I'm disgusted tbh think I'm going to change doctors. X

Baah that's awful!!!! Good thing that you pretty much know how to eat. I wonder what would have happened if it was a poor soul that had no idea how to do it... She would have made herself sick for sure
I dont get it why they would cancel an appointment really I never ever did that... Ofc that means that frustration strikes sometimes as patients have to wait because of an emergency meantime but at least everyone gets seen even if that means that I have to stay 3 h later than normal at work...
But actually maybe that's a good thing. Jaxx as probably after the results the doctor will sent you back to follow a diet for 2 weeks and record your results.
Now that you have more time you can already make a food log and a glucose level one to show him from the very beginning so if treatment is needed teen at least you can get it from the very beginning me thinks??

The GGT is a debate between doctors really. Some they don't value it at all some they want it done regardless.
According to the medical definition of diabetes you can get dg right now but maybe your doctor will want that done too.
In my hospital they don't do it if things are clear really.
But don't worry so much about that as you know what to eat and you are already measuring your values and any doctor would probably want a couple of weeks of measurements before he decides on a treatment?
Good for you for changing doctors though
Try to not stress.
Do you have a wii btw?? Maybe that can help you get some exercise at home and it can be fun for the Los too!!!

Sorry to hear jaxx you are going through so much rubbish I hope there is an explanation to it all or if you need to go on medication they will sort it out for you soon. Outrageous of doctors to cancel your appointment - that has never happened to me.
Hope, my highest reading ever (9.4) was once when I fell asleep really early, didn't have dinner or snack and then took a reading the following morning - 9.4
Ever since then I have made sure I eat something even I I don't feel like it.
I'm doing ok... My readings stay mostly under target, there's been a few like 7.2 after lunch or dinner. My worst have so far been before lunch but according to my doctor its because I have breakfast too late and then have a snack soon after so my body doesn't have time to digest.
I don't know how you girls have done it for so long, I feel like I don't have the right to moan but I'm so fed up and it really gets me down

Thanks girls!! Im going to treat myself like I am... Then go from there. I'm just hoping the doctor won't waste time doing a GTT and they will look at the results and see its clear lol I'll keep you posted. I'm filling out the forms as we speak then the receptionist said she would get me an urgent telephone appointment where I can discuss it xx

Baby is still behaving so that's good and I get my sweep next Thursday and induction is booked for Monday week. I'm so excited to have an end in sight.

I know it feels all so real now! I have been doing bits and bobs all morning trying to get organised for when I go to hospital. There is alot involved in organising 6 kids lol
