The Clomid Thread - 6 BFP's!

Oh yes I heard about the hot flushes! I had them last year thinking it was an early menopause but I never found out what it was! Glad I'm starting in the Autumn then! If I feel snappy I will have to warn my husband and colleagues! Thanks for the heads up!

I took mine at night, didn't feel too different apart from maybe slightly more emotional than I would normally be and I felt really hungry all the time the week I took the tablets xx

I'm on my fourth month and I've had some months taking them in the morning and some in the night. Still get side effects either way, mainly mood swings and hot flushes! My first cycle taking them went down to 29 days from being 35-40 days and sometimes missing a period completely! They are now normally 28 days but I'm late this cycle! Testing in the morning if af doesn't show xx

Don't give up hope honey it took 9 rounds for me but the combination with Metformin was the thing that really did it for me. Are you on that too?

Does anyone know why we have to cut down on alcohol whilst taking clomid? I cut down anyway and the nurse didn't say to give it up completely, but I wondered what the reason was.

I didn't get told that when I was prescribed mine. Haven't read the leaflet that came with it yet though. Maybe just in case it interferes with the clomid working?

I got a faint line on my OPK this morning and its only Day 8! I don’t usually get one till about day 11! Looks as if the clomid is working, hooray! I wonder if it means I will get strong lines for longer than a few hours this month?

Fingers crossed!! I am CD19 today. We bd-ed on day 12, 14, 16 & 18 - hopefully we've done it! Won't know til end of Sept. If/when I get my BFP do I post it in here to let clomid ppl know or do I have to just leave without a trace? I don't want to upset people but I also think ppl would want to know when clomid is successful!

Good luck starryeyes, I'm sure everyone will want to know how you get on with the clomid.

I was wondering if anyone had been in the same position as me? I took 50mg of clomid and was asked to go back for a test if my period hadn't arrived by cd42, it didn't arrive so I had to get a shot of progesterone in my bum to try and bring on period. Nothing seems to be happening yet, has anyone else had to do this?xx

What I've seen other people do is to announce it on the BFP board, change your signature to show that you are pregnant and then come back into the TTC board to reply to another post. Then we can all see your good news on your signature but you're not rubbing it in! Fingers crossed!

My personal opinion (and everyone's different) is that it is great to see fellow ltttc'ers get a bfp and it's really motivating to see it can be done. So I would love to hear that ladies on clomid have got their bfp and I don't often go on the bfp board as it does upset me a bit to see people who have only been trying a month or whatever (which is silly as it is clearly great to get a bfp no matter how long you've been trying).

So I would say come share good news when you get it but I know others may feel differently x

I’m confused! I had a faint line on an OPK on Thursday and Friday but then totally negative results twice on Saturday, then Sunday and today a faint line again. I’m really disappointed because I thought the clomid would give me a really strong line for longer. I had my first follicle scan on Friday and there was one large follicle ready to pop apparently. The nurse didn’t think she’d need to see me again today but it hasn’t popped and I still haven’t had a dark line. Has this happened to anyone else?

I got lots of false positives with OPKs so gave up using them.
