Just put A to bed then got changed and went to get into bed to watch heroes while Lee plays FIFA. Ended up standing on the bed screaming my head off. MASSIVE spider right where I'd just been standing. I feel sick, I don't wanna put my feet on the flor again :'( Lee nearly had heart attack, thought something was wrong with A, he's now wetting himself laughing at me for being such a wuss I swear it was the size of a golf ball! Bad times.

Ugh ugh ugh! I hate hate hate hate hate spiders! They creep me out!!!! My old house used to attract them! Ugh!

Bless Lee though, he came running in and jumped straight on it like a ninja! He's still taking the Mick now.. Well see how he likes it when I have to save him from a wasp!

I've had 2 of those wolf spiders in my house in the last week, at least that's what we've found - they move so quickly there could be more hiding anywhere! I hate them - there was one in the bathroom and I just jumped straight into the bath screaming, OH thought it was very funny!

He is scared of wasps too, and I couldn't care less, so at least I get the upper hand there

Omg Becky! I've just had to google them cos I've never heard of them and I was nearly sick!
This one wasn't quite as big thank god! It was one of them with the small(ish) bodies but the massive thick legs urgh vile!

Ooh, you poor thing. Must be terrible to be scared of spiders... I've always found them quite interesting myself, yours sounds like it could have been a house spider (they are the largest we have in the UK but completely harmless). Most people find that they get overrun with the really long legged males that go about looking for females at the end of summer but yours might have been an early one. My OH isn't too keen on these either so I'm always the one to catch them and put them outside or in the garage.

I hope my midwife isn't too phobic or she's going to have a fit if she comes for a home visit (my study has six glass tanks with live tarantulas in it... ). Perhaps best if I keep her in the kitchen .

Haha I would, just to be on the safe side! I really don't mind tarantulas, they're big enough to keep track of it's just smaller ones that are mega fast and can disappear in seconds then you spend ages terrified they're gonna come out and eat you lol

Oh and btw they usually come in pairs so just have a look round before you sleep tonight normally 2's or 3's we have found xxx
